160685591 | vor 7 Monaten | Why did you delete the give way node? |
159063799 | vor 7 Monaten | I was just on that section of road today and there is no actual speed limit signs. Approaching the roundabout from Enniskillen side the only sign is a warning roundabout ahead. Even when you get on the dual carriage way there are no signs saying 70. Coming back the other way from dual carriage way to Enniskillen there are warning signs saying Reduce Speed now, but the rumble strips force you down to about 30-40mph. Heading for Enniskillen, there was merger signs for the two lanes coming off the roundabout into one lane, but no speed signs. Feel like tweeting PSNI for comment? |
159063799 | vor 7 Monaten | When I was learning to drive, any area that was lit by overhead lights, was assumed to be 40mph unless otherwise stated ie 20mph around schools or 30mph in built up areas |
159063799 | vor 7 Monaten | Pretty sure a lot of these areas are lit, therefore speed limits are reduced to 40mph. There are also rumble ramps coming off the dual carriageway onto the roundabout, but no physical speed limit signs (way:262097519). These sections were purposely not tagged because the actual speed limit is not stated. |
157923963 | vor 7 Monaten | Is this the roads actual name? If not, name should just remain blank |
144722833 | vor über einem Jahr | I was under the impression that we used this tag to indicate a dead end (you would need another mode of transport to continue ie a ferry) and was to help routing. Part of the road is public, therefore has an official road name, maintained by the Roads Service or whatever they call themselves these days. Pretty sure this was discussed with OSMIE members at the time and what I have always used to indicate a particular road is a "dead end". osm.wiki/w/index.php?title=Dead_end Usually signposted with the following symbol - osm.wiki/File:Zeichen_357_-_Sackgasse,_StVO_1992.svg |
50432066 | vor etwa 2 Jahren | Last time I was in the area it was definitely a locked cabinet they were operating from. |
50432066 | vor etwa 2 Jahren | The Erne Boat Hire company has a locked cabinet here they operate their business from. It's not really a building, more of a cabinet. Looking at their website it looks like they have upgraded to sheds on the pier a bit further up - https://erneboathireltd.com/site/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/online-booking-img.jpg |
112840351 | vor fast 4 Jahren | Why did you remove the wooded area? |
112469124 | vor fast 4 Jahren | The main issue here is that the name is already in the relation for the island, see - osm.org/relation/3998505
We have invested a lot of time and effort to produce a licence free map and can not allow it to become polluted by copyrighted material. If you want to help improve naming objects in OSM, may I suggest you use the likes of mapillary.com or kartaview.org which allow you to take photographs of your local surroundings and upload them under an open licence. You and other mappers can then use these to source the names, such as road names, speed limits, building names etc.

112422758 | vor fast 4 Jahren | No, I agree with you that there are Christian burials here. But I just want to point out that many of these sites were in use before Christianity arrived in Ireland . Your involvement in the local community would be appreciated. We surely have the same goal here, in making OSM the best map it can possibly be. I propose that it be dual tagged as religion=christian;pre-christian and a note explaining the situation. |
