I am a mapper living in the midwestern United States. I am inconsistent in my mapping, but love doing it when I get the time. I am privacy-conscious and FLOSS-loving; OSM is the perfect intersection of those two traits.
My primary GPS device is my OnePlus 5T running GApps-free LineageOS and my (so far) most effective surveying tools are OSMAnd or a piece of paper. I also use StreetComplete a decent bit.
I use OSM personally via OSMAnd for cross-country navigation, and also publicly on the websites that I develop.
My greatest hope for OSM right now is that it will surpass Google Maps as the best map database in the US as it reportedly has in Europe.
