But the "highway"s on e.g. Piazza Duca... are just there for routing. They definitely do not exist in reality as the whole Piazza is the same and one would even be hard pressed to move through the chairs/tables standing on some parts shown as "highway" on the map.
I'll raise this to StreetComplete developers as they hopefully know better than me what is the correct practise.

Hmm, but not naming the ways leads to bad routing instructions because routing happens via (high)ways, not places. E.g. osmand generates, the following route from Via Cagliari in Marina di Ragusa over Piazza Duca... to the beginning of Lungomare Andrea... (sorry for German text, it is always "turn left/right, then ...."):
Gesamtentfernung 197 m, Reisezeit 0 h 3 min.
1.  Geradeaus Via Cagliari (57 m,  0:55)
2.  links abbiegen, dann Via del Mare (8 m,  0:07)
3.  links abbiegen, dann Via del Mare (30 m,  0:27)
4.  rechts abbiegen, dann (46 m,  0:41)
5.  links abbiegen, dann (56 m,  0:50)
6.   (0 m,  0:00)
------
Since the ways on the Piazza are unnamed it is never mentioned and the respective "turn" instructions miss the name of what to turn into.

Has there been some discussion on not naming highways within squares, making it official policy? Because if yes, this needs to be brought to the attention of the StreetComplete developers otherwise the next guy with StreetComplete coming to Marina di Ragusa will add the names again as they are shown as missing in the app.
And if not, maybe such a discussion is necessary (see the routing example above).

Would you care to explain, why you removed correct namings I added now already for the second time (cf. also osm.org/changeset/111357465 )?

Mysteriously I DO see "government" on the page you refer to (below fire station and above hospital).

Also note that those entries are made from basically a drop down list with "Street Complete" and I would guess the programmers of that app do try to keep their program aligned to the wiki.
