81815310 | over 5 years ago | Hi! Thank you both for reviewing - I really wasn't sure about this one, and I'm glad for the feedback. As it happens, the only reason I even took an interest here was a series of Osmose bugs reported along that path (visible in Vespucci), as well as noticing that the separately-drawn sidewalk seemed to stop randomly along the edge of the park. Finally, speaking as a longtime user but not editor of OSM, I found the inconsistency quite surprising - I can intuitively understand that (for example) not all houses, benches, park paths etc are mapped yet, but it's odd (to someone that doesnt have the context you just shared) to see a sidewalk on just one side of a street. If I didn't know the area, I'd have assumed there was just one side of the street I can walk on, and that it suddenly stops about 30 meters before the junction with Waller Road, and conclude I'd be much better off just avoiding the area entirely. Presumably that also causes routing issues? In short, I wonder if, rather than reverting, there's a way for me to add tags etc to the features as they stand in order to make sure everything routes OK, including for cyclists, walkers and wheelchair users, as you mentioned? I didn't see major issues with doing things that way in the wiki you helpfully directed me to. Happy to share a screenshot of what it looked like, and/or the Osmose bugs, by email if that helps form a view either way? |
