Hi and thanks for improving OSM!
Just an advice, when you see a business close it better not to delete the whole point, but rather only remove the tag denoting the business (e.g. amenity=restaurant). This way the address is preserved and can be reused when a new business opens at the same location as it often happens. Plus it keeps the history of the place intact.

Cheers.

Hi and thanks for improving OSM!

Just a small thing for the next time. No need to create a separate building for restaurant. You can just create a point and label it as restaurant.

Hi, from what I know cycleways are considered more for "urban" cycling infrastructure and having cycleways in the middle of a forest would be misleading. Also I've seen that some of them have hiking difficulty scale tags which tell that those are used by hikers as well.

When it comes to safety, if there are actual physical sign that restrict movement of people or designate the use for bikes this can be added using access tags: bike=*, foot=*
But ultimately it is a responsibility of the trail maintainer to place appropriate warning sign so visitors don't come into danger.

osm.wiki/Mountain_biking

On a side note, are those actually official MTB trails endorsed by the landowner? It somehow seems to me that those biking features were built on top of existing hiking trails.

Hi and thanks for helping OSM!

Looking at these short roads that are branching of Byrne Court, it seems to me that they are driveways leading to individual houses. Are you sure that they are named and there are street signs posted on them?

Hello Ravinder,
Thank you for the detailed clarification. I went ahead and restored the original changes here:
osm.org/changeset/170043014

Please correct as needed.

Hi and thanks for improving OSM!

Businesses like this one have to be placed on a building they reside in. Right now it points to a random place next to a highway, which is not correct.

Hi and welcome to OSM!

Thanks for your edits, here I just noticed two small things.

* for simple stairs we typically don't create building:part area, but rather draw a simple line tagged as highway=steps.
osm.wiki/Tag:highway%3Dsteps

* Driveways are more suited for reads leading to a house/garage. For parking lots, we use service=parking_aisle

Here again addr:full should be expanded to individual fields.

Opening hours should be conflated.

168817999 about 2 months ago

Hi,
here again, (in addition to add:full tag) this: "+1 203-846-['9', '4', '5', '0']" is not a valid value for telephone number.
It should be +1 203-8469;+1 203-8464;+1 203-8465;+1 203-8460

Problem is also in opening hours:
Mo 09:00-17:00; Tu 09:00-17:00; We 09:00-17:00; Th 09:00-17:00; Fr 09:00-17:00; Sa 10:00-16:00

Should be simplified to Mo-Fr 09:00-17:00; Sa 10:00-16:00

I would suggest to revert all import changestes, discuss and review your proposal with members of OSM first and then redo the import.

Hi,
Sorry where was this import discussed?

The problem I see here that addr:full is not good way how to add address to POI. Especially it should not replace good address data that was already parsed to addr:* subfields.

I believe that if the multipolygon relation has only a single member (which is the outer way) then is should be deled and the tags moved to the closed way.

Hi,
Any particular examples? As far as I know I wasn't creating any new objects and majority of edits were changing tags.

Hi,
The correct way to tag driveways is
highway=service + service=driveway.

driveway=residential is not documented.

Hi and welcome to OSM!
Just a comments to your edits. When removing businesses please leave the address intact. The address typically stays and is reused for a new business that will come after.

Hi, no problem you're doing good.
When editing you just select the library point. Then on the left side scroll down through the Edit Feature panel until you reach the table with all tags. Click on "+" to add new tag. Into first field type "ref" and into the second field type the number e.g. "37246'.

Then remove the "Charter #150569" from the name.

The actual names that you mentioned are good to stay in the "name" field, but I think the street names should just be removed since that is not their real name.

Hi and thanks for contributing to OSM!
I think you did a good job, the only issue I see here are the names. e.g. "Quaker Ln S Little Free Library Charter #37246" Those seem to me like a descriptions rather their actual names. These should be removed.
Perhaps if the number is a reference number or id then that can be moved to the "ref" tag e.g. ref=37246

Unfortunately, the node is not added automatically. I believe the purpose is to interconnect the sidewalk and road networks in order to make them routable. If the sidewalk does not share a node with a road then routing software can't give you directions accurately.

"Marked" mean that there are markings painted on the road, but there are no traffic signals. You can find more info on osm wiki: osm.wiki/Key:crossing
