Suburbs Giralang & McKellar in Canberra mapped

The mapping of the street names for the suburbs of Bruce and Kaleen is now complete (except when the street signs are missing). I have also added some map detail for University of Canberra gleaned from Yahoo images and a Campus layout sign at the entrance to UC.

I have ridden around and uploaded street names for Aranda, Ferntree Hill and Kaleen in northern Canberra. Does anyone know how to indicate a missing street sign? If I leave the name blank then there is no indication why it was missed. Any ideas?

I joined OSM about 6 months ago and I have been mapping around Canberra and the far south coast (Bega valley) since then. I initially started mapping using potlatch and since then moved to JOSM. The feature that prompted me to change to JOSM was the photomapping option which allows me to photograph a streetsign and located it on JOSM.

The combination of GPS, PDA and a digital camera while cycling around is a good combination which has allowed me to (nearly) complete the streetname coverage in the inner northern suburbs of Canberra over a number of lunchtime cycle rides. The maplint addition on the web page is very handy in highlighting the missing streetnames etc.

Now on to map Aranda next lunchtime.
