in any case, I thank you for your letter, and I think next time I will try to take your comments into account.. with respect.. |
133684477 | 6 months ago | Dear... I did not create the changeset "Villa Saleh Mammadov (Azeravtoyol ASC)" and a "Villa Alirza Suleymanov (ADY ASC)"... these points were created by user Araz2018 on 2018-04-08 15:01..
perhaps when editing this area I accidentally moved these points to buildings that could have been this object.. or during editing there was an unauthorized shift of these two points.. that is, I did not create these points and names... regarding the complaint to DWG that I allegedly abuse OSM to publish personal information about politicians - I hear about this for the first time... I responsibly declare that I am not involved in politics at all, and never did not publish anyone's personal information... this is a mistake towards me... with respect... |
162260482 | 6 months ago | Dear Woodpeck… I am writing the title of the comment this way, because in one edit I try to edit the roads of a given village, town or district as much as possible.. writing a more detailed extensive comment turns out to be very long and inconvenient… in any case, thank you for writing to me, and I will try to take your comments into account and adhere to them… with respect… |

139264998 | over 1 year ago | Hello... I have been editing OSM maps for more than 10 years, and I have considerable experience… I constantly travel around the regions of Azerbaijan due to my occupation, and I can say that there is no place in the country where I have not been , sometimes even several times… And wherever I go, I make notes about roads, objects, record tracks, etc…. Moreover, I note a lot and make edits in OSM directly on the spot, using the program “Organic Maps” is very convenient and fast… In addition, I have many acquaintances in the regions of Azerbaijan who are ready to give me the necessary information about certain objects of interest to me, about new buildings, about changes in roads, etc… In addition, I receive auxiliary information from our website “Navigator.az”, which contains information and the location of most significant and iconic objects of Azerbaijan, which is regularly updated and always relevant… I am listing all this to You so that You understand that working on OSM maps is not just a hobby for me, but a more important activity, one might say, much more important than many of my other activities and interests.. 10 years ago, when I started, the map of Azerbaijan looked like a desert :-)… I don’t I want to praise myself, but my contribution to editing the map of my country is almost 72%.. I find complacency in this and am proud of it… Moreover, I am a member of the Azerbaijan Navigation Society and this places even greater responsibility on me, and I try to be as objective and accurate as possible… Regarding the tag “amenity=townhall”… The fact is that there are navigation programs that are mainly used in Azerbaijan (City Guide, Guru Maps, Organic Maps), and these programs, when using maps from OSM, do not accurately reflect some objects, and sometimes they simply do not display them, for example, the same objects with the tag “office=company” are simply not displayed… I understand that this is a sin of the developers of these navigation programs, but as a result, the navigator is missing many objects that are important for users… For example, “office=company” is not displayed, but “office=government” is already displayed, as is “amenity=townhall”… I’m already gradually changing the “amenity=townhall” I wrote into “office=government”… There are many such issues with tags, and I try to gradually correct them by comparing the result in a specific navigation program… This takes a lot of time… Regarding adding the name of the city to the name of the object, for example “Dostliq Kafe \ Xirdalan”.. I would like to inform You that in most of the names of state, public and private institutions in Azerbaijan (including the names of ordinary cafes) the name of the city is also present, and sometimes district… In addition, this is displayed on the board at the entrance to the institution… For example, “Metbuat Yayimi Menteqesi \ Xırdalan sheheri \ Absheron Rayonu” (Press Distribution Center \ Khirdalan city \ Absheron District)… The fact is that in Azerbaijan there are a lot of identical names, and in order to initially identify them correctly, the name of the settlement is added… This is the specificity of names in Azerbaijan… For example, in Azerbaijan there are 26 villages with the name Xacmaz in different areas, so usually immediately after the name of the settlement is added a specific name of the area… Believe me, for normal navigation in Azerbaijan, the usual naming methods in OSM are not enough… I know this from my own practice… And as far as I know, the OSM rules do not prohibit adding the name of the city to the name of the object… Moreover, I repeat again, some navigation programs do not accept the “addr:city” tag, and this is the fault of these programs, but the navigation user should not experience any difficulties… There are often cases when an irresponsible OSM user deliberately distorts the names of objects (sometimes government ones) with obscene and offensive words.. Identifying such cases would bring more benefit to the OSM community than what you note in my work... Considering the above, I would like to ask You not to correct the names that I edited, and I ask You to trust my responsibility and integrity in this matter.. I live here, I know the local specifics, and I try to do everything for the convenience of the average navigation user… Thank You again for Your comments and advice… I consider them important… I was glad to communicate with You.. |

142772350 | over 1 year ago | hello... yes, of course, after the de-occupation of the Karabakh lands, the government decided to revise the names of administrative units that were under Armenian occupation and were willfully renamed by the leadership of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh republic... I note that many settlements not directly related to the Nagorno-Karabakh zone, which are the occupied regions of Azerbaijan, were also renamed in the Armenian way. ... I want to assure you that now all these settlements are returning their names in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan... as for the pro-Armenian users Taktaal (I justified my answer to him in the comments) and the user Tomas, who unexpectedly supported him, I noted that any user can add an "old name" tag in any language, but not distort the real and historical names of a country to which he has no connection... I live in Azerbaijan, I have been an OSM user for almost 11 years, and 70% of the work is on Azerbaijan belong to me... I am far from self-praise, but I would like to note that I am here and know the situation much better than the same Taktaal..... working in OSM is not just a hobby and passion for me... thank you, with best regards... |
142772453 | over 1 year ago | Do you seriously think that I should be guided by the suggestions of a Xelgen user written as a discussion question in November 2011?... today is the year 2024... and
Regarding old names - there is a tag "old_name[:<xx>]" and any openstreetmap user can use this tag... I repeat - after the de-occupation of the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, work is being carried out to administratively divide this region... the names of settlements that have lost their relevance also fall under this mess... I think I answered your question quite comprehensively.. |

143032370 | over 1 year ago | hi... thank you for writing to me... it's my mistake, there was a mechanical error - instead of the "name" I wrote "industrial"... I have already corrected it, and also added tags with "depot" and "truсk"... thank you... |

141929450 | almost 2 years ago | hello.. I live near this region and often visit that area... there are absolutely no hydrants there... the reason why such a large mass of non-existent hydrants were created is unclear to me... there are small drainage channels there, but not at all no hydrants... best regards... |
