The OpenStreetMap community in Tanzania hosts an annual conference called State of the Map Tanzania that brings together mappers, software developers, and other contributors to talk about and share information about OpenStreetMap. Presentations, workshops, and discussions on a variety of mapping-related topics, such as mapping methods, data gathering, data analysis, and software development, are frequently included in the conference. Participants can network with other OpenStreetMap contributors and get knowledge on the most recent advancements in the industry.

This year, the conference was help at the University Of Dar es Salaam and Online and hundreds of attendees from around the world attended the conference. I attended the conference in person in Dar es Salaam and the conference was amazing. The sessions was informative and I realized that several use cases of projects that were presented can be reprecated here in Uganda. Some of the projects where similar to the one we are running as OSM Uganda and I realized there was need to partner and collaborate in some. I enjoyed the meals, surely they were amazing thank to the Organizing commetee. It was during this time that I had some lessons about swimming and it was going pretty well. The conference needed to even run for a week to make it even more amazing.
