Hi iandees,

Thank you for the concern. I am aware of all the moving parts, relations, and connections that come with georeferencing and OSM data editing. I usually use existing roads unless it's an extensive stretch that will need to be redone, so I will sometimes create a new way in that instance. I am mindful of existing data like bus routes and highway relations, and tag the new way with any of those parameters accordingly. I've been mapping for OSM for about 13 years so I'm fairly versed in that regard.
