Is there an app for creating notes?

Yuzen-it-id NotEs2 af 13 July 2015 s English

Does anyone know of an Android app that will take my location and let me add a note there? My planned use is to go biking/walking through local strip malls and take down information on each store.

Vespucci will allow you to do that.

However this is currently works slightly different than the normal editing mode and requires a mobile data connection (the Notes code is currently in the process of being refactored and will allow pre-survey bulk down- and post-suvey upload in the next version, similar to the normal editing mode).

Naturally if you are using vespucci you might as well directly add the stores to OSM.

I like using OsmAnd+

Mapillary also works great for collecting POI info. You can then view the photos right in the ID editor

Thanks Simon - I got it working and may try later today.

I did a bit - the most annoying part was typing on the bloody phone. osm.org/#map=19/28.38459/-81.50085&layers=N

with Osmand, you can also record voice notes, and make geolocated photos.

OSMTracker for Android is also worth looking at.
