Display of radio masts and radio towers on standard Openstreetmap maps

Апублікавана карыстальнікам Obelixx 26 Ліпень 2012 на мове German (Deutsch)

Why are radio masts and radio towers shown on standard openstreetmaps if at all only at high zoom levels? In my opinion should these sometimes very remarkable objects displayed already at smaller levels. I would suggest that they could be divided into multiple categories: such used by high power transmitters or having very tall structures, low power transmitters for small broadcasting stations, NDBs and cellphone towers.

If you think rendering of the main map is wrong, you should put a bug report for the Mapnik team.

… or make a render of your own that suits what you want to use the map for. The Standard render is really an example of what is possible and will never suit everyone (I hate seeing abandoned railway lines rendered).

If you want to render your own map you can find out more at switch2osm
