Steve, I don't think its right that you are mapping these trails, when most of it is on private lands. I'm not all innocent here as I and a couple of others have made and maintained these trail the last 20 years. I probably have well over 500 hrs up there working on trails and who know how many hours riding/hiking them. I know these trails like the back of my hand. We get so little help with the maintenance of the trails. People can't even pick up a branch or sticks off the trails let alone cut and remove a tree. And all the garbage and litter left behind up there isn't' good. Ribbons on trees, birch trees stripped. Most people I run into up there can't even hardly say hello or how are you!! When you map all this it shows up as a trail system. We've been working with the city on this becoming a trail system some day but officially it is not a trail system and shouldn't be portrayed as one. I live in Aspen Valley and have people walking through my land that have no permission to be there. And many times they don't even live in the area. Please call if you like to discuss. Access tags don't keep people from using. People see these trails on strava and other mapping apps. They assume they are public trails and proceed. People using strava, map there hike or ride and then strava sends the data to open street, thats the problem.
