135503087 | over 2 years ago | Hello,
Per Wiki (osm.wiki/Tag:railway=abandoned?uselang=en) the tag shouldn't be used for cases where no physical evidence is existing. I'm quite familiar with area in question and there are no visible markings (no sleepers, no signals) left. I agree that historically the railway was there, but OSM.org isn't a store for historical data. |

Vismaz tādus kā šis es neesmu redzejis, kur no 0./ielas līmeņa cauri mājai iet trepes+tunelis uz 1. stāva līmeni. |
124313602 | about 3 years ago | Hello Here's a 360 video I took a week ago at 57.75799 N, 22.60579 E (https://www.veed.io/view/85d19440-f28a-494f-8abb-981263cde713) while standing at farthest point of the cape. At the time I have also re-checked the GNSS signal/quality and it had 24 satellites visible with error margin ~4 meters, so it's quite precise. I have drawn the coast outline from memory, but as you can see, when cross-checked against GNSS the cape's land extends even farther to E/SE. Also of note. If you have also visited the cape you may have seen an information board (osm.org/node/3721955595) where various different historical outlines of the cape were shown. Therefore, it is apparently not uncommon for sand banks to shift and change even within short span. I concur that current/changed outline is not perfectly mapped, but in my view it is still better than previous. |
