Hello all. I stumbled across the OSM project almost by mistake. I provide technical support for survey grade GPS in the Central New York region. I have a NTRIP RTK setup with 10mm accuracy, but I'm unfamiliar with the data/data collection formats(?) being used on the project. Can I use the software I'm familiar with and export it to a file type that would be of use to the project?
Thanks

I'm sure you can.
If you can convert your gps-data to gpx format, OSM will be happy to have it :)
See http://www.gpsbabel.org/ for a program that can convert almost any gps-format to another.

It basically boils down to lat/long position (elevation is stripped as nominaly not accurate enough with consumer units). 1 second data is useful, as it helps routers calculate travel time etc....
What equipment are you using?

I would take a look at the Beginners' guide on the wiki osm.wiki/index.php/Beginners%27_Guide
It would be best to look into the data in your area, and see what the state of it, is. You may want to see if there are any mapping parties happening in your local area.
