A principios de semana perdí una traza de unos 40km por una carretera local con multiples desvíos que había mapeado con fotos y este sábado haciendo una de las vías verdes en bicicleta mi nokia 770 volvió a decir basta.

No es la primera vez que pierdo datos con el combo maemo-mapper+nokia, entiendo las carencias de mi equipo, pero he decidido mejorarlo.

Ya que el gps bluetooth funciona perfectamente he hecho pruebas con aplicaciones para móvil gracias a jynus, trekbuddy fue la primera opción pero el tema de permisos para mi motorola v3i lo puso complicado, la siguiente opcion ha sido Mobile Trail Explorer. Buen resultado, soy capaz de conectar y guardar trazas. Por la parte mala solo soy capaz de guardar las trazas en un fichero RMS ya que la exportacion a gpx no funciona por los permisos de antes y el telefono siempre tiene que estar abierto. Seguiremos investigando...

Como plan b estoy al acecho en ebay de data loggers, holux m241 o el Royaltek RBT-2300 son las opciones.

At the week begining I lost a 40km trace traced in a tertiary road with lot of junctions to other tertiary roads perfectly mapped with photos. On Saturday my nokia 770 failed again while I was in a 50km cycle trip.

Its not the first time I'm losing traces with the maemo-mapper+nokia combo, i understand that its limited and now im trying to improve it.

My bluetooth gps its working like a charm so im trying some of the mobile apps, thanks to jynus for pointing me in that direction.
-Trekbuddy was my first option, but the permissions for my motorola v3i got complicated so i tried.
-Mobile Trail Explorer. Good thing, im able to connect to the gps and also im able to record traces, hooray! but...
still some issues. The gpx export option its not working because of the write permissions and i have to deal with a rms binary file and other minor thing is that the mobile needs to be open all the time (its a clam type)

Also as a plan B, im hunting ebay for a data logger, holux m241 or Royaltek RBT-2300 are my options
