Paris, France have all buildings in OSM

Postat per Pieren a 11 de decembre 2010 en English Darriera actualizacion de 7 d’abrial 2011

The french capital and its 2.2 millions inhabitants have all buildings now present in OSM. The systematic import based on the french cadastre started the 28th march and finished the 9th december 2010. Thanks to the small amount of contributors who took the effort to integrate manually the imported with the already existing buildings and POI's. 7 of the 20 "arrondissements" have also their complete addresses information. This next challenge is now to complete them into the remaining 13 arrondissements.

Looks good. Looks like a good job of getting people involved. Maybe this can be listed on the imports page as a good example of how taking a little extra time and getting people involved can make for a better map. Easier said than done though. Explaing the process from start to finish if you haven't will hopefully help people in the future.
