58104372 | over 7 years ago | Are you using PT_Assistant already? For each variation in itinerary, you need to create a separate route relation. For 'telescopic' lines I'm only mapping the longer variations though. Does MTTA provide GTFS feeds that can be used in OpenStreetMap.org? |
46881844 | over 7 years ago | Sorry voor het late antwoord. Als het ter plekke is nagekeken is het helemaal in orde. |
55986015 | over 7 years ago | Yes, it took me a while to get it right. Boundaries are fickle. |

52771012 | over 7 years ago | Hi Adarsh, please don't reuse nodes from other buildings or connect the buildings to the highways. Also try to make the buildings squared/rectangular. There is a button for it in iD, or if that is too cumbersome, JOSM has a buildings tools plugin which allows you to draw buildings with just 3 clicks. If you do it that way, other people don't need to waste their time squaring and resizing them 3 weeks later. |
53247550 | almost 8 years ago | It's indeed over here now: |
52546473 | almost 8 years ago | Hi, I'm sorry about this. I reverted the whole changeset. I didn't try to fix the routes anymore. Sometimes I do, but it's messy too. |
50791572 | almost 8 years ago | OK, it took me a while to figure out how this may have happened. There were more ways affected. I hope I caught them all. When resolving validation errors, there is the suggestion to replace oneway=-1 with oneway=yes. Usually I press r for reverse, but now it seems I pressed Ctrl-d while zoomed out. |
52295638 | almost 8 years ago | I fixed them, sorry about that! |
50896727 | almost 8 years ago | Indeed I made some errors there. Sorry about that. |
51794993 | almost 8 years ago | In fact I see the shelter and the bus stop as 2 distinct objects. The highway=bus_stop/public_transport=platform node as the point to represent the bus stop and the shelter area way as the place where people can take shelter from the elements.
I realise it's possible to use shelter=yes on the highway=bus_stop node. But we're mapping in more and more detail all the time. In Belgium you'll often find a bench inside that shelter as well and a waste_basket next to it. I don't think we should be limited in the amount of detail we can map. On the other hand I'm also strongly convinced it's best using 1 OSM object per bus stop. In the route relations as well. In many parts around Europe I see a tendency to use 2 and then to add both of them the route relations. I'm starting to describe this here:
And I tried to create a manual here:
I also created some screencasts:

50844875 | almost 8 years ago | Hallo SB_10. Bedankt voor de aanzet van bus 430 van De Lijn. Ik heb op basis van hun data de rest ook ingetekend voor alle variantes. mvg, Polyglot |
51218677 | almost 8 years ago | I created a video about the PT_Assistant plugin. What do you think of it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gt-Offxpplo |
51218677 | almost 8 years ago | Hi Tomas, there are many kinds of shelters:osm.wiki/Key:shelter_type |
51218677 | almost 8 years ago | Sorry, my Lithuanian isn't very good. (non existing actually). Do you mean you dislike I reused a node of a shelter for some of the stops? |
51015481 | almost 8 years ago | Something really weird happened to that cycle route. Maybe I shouldn't be mapping when overly tired. (I'm always tired though...). Anyway, I fixed it by going back. I also looked at the other cycle routes and mended them where feasible.

51098115 | almost 8 years ago | I'm not sure we understand each other very well, but OK. As far as I'm concerned. If there is a node next to the way tagged highway=bus_stop
The stop is mapped. If there is an actual platform, it's great to map it as a way, but I wouldn't add those ways to the route relations. For that matter I wouldn't add the stop_positions to the route relations either, just the platform nodes, but for some reason that's not how it's on the wiki. I won't be mapping too much anymore in this region, so no worries. I mostly wanted to get an idea how bus stops and routes are mapped in different areas.

51100923 | almost 8 years ago | Of course I think it's acceptable or I wouldn'tbe doing it. I agree the changesets are big and it would be better that locals do them.
|
51100923 | almost 8 years ago | I started doing this in bus stations, but I'm convinced that it makes a lot of sense at the beginning and end of the routes.
