convert osm into gpx

Spisany wot Prothmann dnja 26 June 2008 w rěči English.

Hi everybody,

I'm new at this whole OMS stuff (great innitiative!!), but i would really like to use some of the maps that are not yet in gpx format. So, my question is how to convert oms data into gpx. So far I have tried cgpsmapper and sendmap (which in my ingnorancy i considered possibly apt programs for this conversion), but i have failed miserably...

So, i bet those are very basic issues for you guys, but if anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it!!

Greetings from Germany,
Jan

Hi,
If you are trying to convert OSM data into a map to work on a Garmin GPS device, you need to use something like mkGmap (osm.wiki/index.php/Mkgmap). That is what I use. Sorry if that was not your question!

Graham.

Is there any active project aiming at the conversion of OSM maps for use on Magellan Explorist GPS devices?
