I've made my first modest addition to OSM, just to get started.
I notice in the editing window a significant discrepancy between the map detail and the underlying image.

This raises two questions in my mind:

1. Will this affect the accuracy of any GIS data I extract?
2. Should be trying to correct it? If so, how?

I'm wondering if there's a way to define an area of interest, and embed a map of that area in a page on our web-site? Area approximately defined by

North 27°21'20.00"S
East 152°58'34.62"E
South 27°28'00.00"S
West 152°52'11.70"E

Alternatively a link to the pre-defined area would be useful.

Any feedback appreciated.
