Yes, the idea is that the map cycles through the most recently edited places - so you can see where people are working.
For OSM it'll by necessity be pretty limited right now: the /changes API doesn't tell you who's doing the editing, nor (of course) rerender the tiles on demand. But I think it'll be interesting nonetheless.
