I believe the community decided on this naming scheme with destinations, it is not written in stone. About Chalastra - Polykastro i still think name and ref is wrong and there are no signs anywhere, thats why i removed ref (my intention was to move EO1 in nat_ref as compromise between reality and official documentation and only use A19 as a relation for internal reference. But no, nikospag decided to burn me on the stake for something i corrected the next day. Believe me there are a lot of confusing parts, i mean half the ring road is Egnatia Odos A2 and half is A24?doesnt make any sense

I believe the correct name is Πτολεμαίδας - Αμύνταιου and Αμύνταιου - Φλώρινας since the original route is interrupted. The new section (trunk) was designed to replace the old section of EO2 north of the lake (which still holds the original ref).
The trunk road can be Φλώρινας - Θεσσαλονίκης and the original route (secondary) can be Φλώρινας - Έδεσσας.

i believe the official name is National Highway 3 and this is just explaining the route. The name is broken in pieces to reflect reality because lots of things have changed since 1963, especially in this area.
