Passed through here about 10 days ago .. roads were connected but had previously been closed off for several days while reconstructing Tuhikaramea Road. Road was in final stages of compacting before sealing .. There was about 1 km of 30 kph with lots of lime dust .. had to wash rental car :-(

Is there some new reason why Tuhikaramea Road no longer intersects SH39
