Maps.Me loses OSM editing?

Zapsal RobJN 28. 5. 2017 v jazyce English.

What’s happened to maps.me app? I used to be able to add details to existing POI and now I just get “claim this business” which errors.

Obviously some attempt to better commercialise the app but massive shame for the OSM community.

Other apps to check out are Street Complete and (when it launches) the new Kory app.

I just added a few businesses this week with no problem.

Hi. I’m referring to adding extra tags to existing POI.

Rob, did you update your map? MAPS.ME prevents editing when the map is older than two months.

Thanks. I’d neglected to keep the map updated. All sorted now - panic over!

My local area is several months out of date even if I download manually. What should I be doing?

Data versions are (for now) tied with application versions. Try upgrading the application, e.g. by downloading it from the app store. It will have data from 11th of May.

@Zverik Should that apply to notes too? osm.org/note/1013640 has just been added and the MAPS.ME data that that user was seeing was from June last year.
