As my name indicates, I am a big fan of Route 66. I remember travelling on it with my parents when I was young – going from our home in Phoenix, AZ back to Albuquerque, NM to visit relatives. I enjoyed going through places like Holbrook and Winslow, when you actually went THROUGH the towns on local streets at a lower speed limit, rather than AROUND them at a faster pace on the interstate.
