Mappetizer Travel Diary

Postuar nga Ruth Lang më 17 Qershor 2010 në English

Proudly I want to show you a new feature of the web mapping application "Mappetizer Travel Diary" which uses OSM as a background layer

Now it includes weather data (click button in the toolbar).
Please have a look at it:

http://www.uismedia.de/mappetizer/traveldiary/TravelDiary_Ruth/index.html

The application bases on open standards like SVG and XML and doesn't need any web server technology. You have full access on your GPX-files, they are not uploaded somewhere else on a web server (like with all the Google applications).

So if you like my example, please feel free to try it with your own GPS data, and I am sure you have a lot of them ;-).
Download a demo copy from our homepage:

Any comments and suggestions are welcome.

Mappetizer Travel Diary released

Postuar nga Ruth Lang më 17 Mars 2010 në English

Mappetizer Travel Diary is a Web application for your GPS tracks, pictures, stories and information. It helps you to organize your tracks, but beside this, it also offers you space for additional information (e.g. text, pictures, links) about your tracks.
For your own, but also to share it with your friends.

Mappetizer Travel Diary simply bases on open standards like HTML, SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) and XML and uses OSM as a background layer. You can use your application on your local machine, publish them on the Web or give them away on CD-ROM or DVD and view them within a Web browser.

View my personal Travel Diary as an example: http://www.uismedia.de/mappetizer/traveldiary/TravelDiary_Ruth/index.html

Have fun with it.

OSM tile server inplemented in SVG

Postuar nga Ruth Lang më 9 Nëntor 2009 në English

In the meanwhile the OSM tile server (tile.openstreetmap.org) is now implemented in Mappetizer for ArcGIS.

If you would like to have a look at an example:

http://www.mappetizer.de/en/examples/osm_wiki/index.html

In this example the Wikipedia Geocoding Webservice by GeoNames is also included.
An "invisible" SVG layer gives information about the countries.

OSM tile server inplemented in SVG

Postuar nga Ruth Lang më 15 Tetor 2009 në English

Hi, I am not quite sure if this the right place to post it.
I am working at the moment on an application to implement the OSM tile server (tile.openstreetmap.org) in an SVG project.
Maybe you are interested how it looks like:

http://www.mappetizer.de/de/beispiele/osm_test/

is my prototype. It works quite well in IE, I have problems with rendering the tiles in Opera and Firefox. And I realized my POI's are not at the right place, but this is already a problem in ArcGIS.

I also implemented some WMS-Services in that application.

Best regards
Ruth
