Changeset When Comment

Hi, welcome to OSM!
Did you mean to delete this whole landuse? https://overpass-api.de/achavi/?changeset=55814922
From what I can see on the imagery, most of it is still farmland. When it was deleted, it also broke the intersection of Union Valley Rd and Perrineville Rd. I went ahead and restored the intersection and landuses and manually fixed part of the perimeter.
I also saw that you created two nonexistent parks over houses and created a beach under a pool. Please don't do this, it is considered vandalism.
Some other mapping tips: Pools should be marked as leisure=swimming_pool, not natural=water. Single trees in a backyard can be represented by a point that has the tag natural=tree. Lastly, you can right click buildings and click the square icon to square the corners off. And if you ever have any question about mapping things, you can always ask at help.openstreetmap.org

Hi, welcome to OSM. Please don't vandalize the map by painting over residential areas with fake landuses or fake parks for Pokemon Go.

Hi there,
This is not a park. Please don't add nonexistent parks or change the boundaries of existing parks for Pokemon Go EX raids.

Hi there,
I added it because of personal knowledge that you can't make a left turn out of the gas station from that exit. I tried the iD turn restriction creator and for some reason it didn't select the node as the 'via' object. I went ahead and deleted it in changeset 55256931. In the future I'll stick with adding turn restrictions in JOSM. Sorry for the trouble!

I messed up the upload of a JOSM file greater than 10k nodes. Reverted in 55256729.

But the fact that it is a housing development with woods, recreational areas, or grass dispersed throughout doesn't change that it is an area zoned for residential use. And all of the green spaces/tennis courts/trails/recreation areas are already mapped on top of it. It doesn't match the definition of what a park should be since the area isn't all for recreational use: osm.wiki/Tag:leisure=park

Allotments are labeled as a Community Garden in the iD editor.
And the word has different meaning in America. Wikipedia: "An allotment garden (British English), often called simply an allotment, or a community garden (North America) is a plot of land made available for individual, non-commercial gardening or growing food plants"

Hi again,
I don't think a grassy area on the Brentwood Executive Campus office park counts as a public access park. Grass landuse would better suit it. And please don't try to add water under the office building.

I suspected that this was your account when I was looking through recent edits yesterday.

The allotments tag was correct, why did you change it?

It looks like he is back on a new account
osm.org/user/BayForest
I can't revert all of the new changesets if he makes new accounts

Hi there,
Thank you for stopping the vandalism. I think I am ok with fixing the problems here. The biggest issue was the continual revert of the residential areas to parks.

I doubt that the community's "proposed bridge crossing" was built while the developer is still building houses.

Are you refreshing the page to see when people fix your vandalism so you can quickly change it back?

54574806 over 7 years ago

I just went through and fixed all the paths in the woods using GPS data for you and this is the thanks that I get. This path doesn't exist on GPS or imagery, so why should I believe it exists? I don't think NV Homes would put a footpath right on the border of someone's private farm land.
