Yeah, that's exactly what i said, they change time to time. The perimeter is not a constant either. I just found easily an example where they changed perimeter and purpose of field 5 times between 2010 and 2019 (see Geoportail.lu photos): osm.org/way/128482572 osm.org/way/128482574 osm.org/way/348401124 Hence why i don't find it relevant, neither useful, even deceiving to keep such detailed little fields separated, mostly when no more specific detailed differentiate them at all. Still i find more permanent clear to differentiate farmlands from meadows. Also OSM rule wise or of good practice, they say: osm.wiki/Good_practice#Don.27t_map_temporary_events_and_temporary_features Clearly these fields are temporary yet we need to map them.

All in all, these arguments explain why i do this and as i already told you in the past, data wise, keep it clean, clear and without overkilling it.

I just did some merging again but residential and highways.

Correction: In the mean time the fields structure have changed, so much work done for nothing, so again there is no point really.*

Indeed it's not a bad practice and yeah i can stop but the elements i merged didn't have any difference in tags. It's like if several highways with the exact same tags or hedges are side to side, it would be useless to keep them separated for nothing. In extra fields change of crop time to time (early or bi-annual), know this from farmer's methods and noticed it also thanks to the yearly photos. What i suggest you is rather to plot the complete field all together if you don't know yet the exact crop, it will be faster and later make easily the separation of the area thanks to "split area" function (plot line > alt+x). Many contributors leave so many areas fields without completing the crop difference for so many years. In the mean time the fields structure have changed, so again there is no point really.

Hi! Please use the right tag which has been decided consensually to be recognized not only by human contributors but also by programs. access=permit is not recognized, access=permissive is the right tag. Example: osm.org/way/690419515/history

I have to add: it is very possible that people use a ditch as a way though, thus creating a path, like this one and further to the east osm.org/way/594746119 but in this case that you created, it doesn't lead to anything and there is no GPS activity at all.

Hi! This is not a path osm.org/way/855849654 , it's a ditch for physical parcel delimitation. Left it so that you can check it by yourself.

Hi! Careful on what you do: osm.org/node/312121092

Hi! I hope by now that you realised that Strava's Slide is not efficient for precise plotting of ways. If you have access to Strava's Heatmap while you can contribute to OSM on the editor you use, just place the nodes of the way on the center of the gathered GPS Heatmap tracings. And on a cross-way, if you are not sure in which direction each way ends, personally i just try to distribute equally the angles between each relevant way like a T cross-way, Y cross-way, X cross-way...
Have a nice continuation in mapping!

I'm not being passive aggressive. If you are ignoring the word PLEASE, it's not my fault. Just giving feedback on elements that mislead people.

Please stop adding tags that are totally wrong! Example: osm.org/way/420234139

Hello! You've deleted part of this way osm.org/way/420049799 saying that it was completely overgrown. That way, which is not even a track, is in reality a path. You didn't change the type of way during your edits ( i updated now). So maybe you just missed it as we are in the Fall season and most terrain is covered by dead leaves.

To be honest i haven't been on that area for a long time but i can see that there are still GPS traces passing by. I can also tell you that there used to be 2 trails passing close to each other. One at the perimeter of the forest and the other one a few meters away on the inner part of the forest.

Do you have maybe a GPS trace from that activity that i could check up?

Hello! About these steps osm.org/way/844814274 are they accessible anytime or could you access them during a specific occasion? Also where do they lead? Previously you had connected them outside the building, which i don't remember any going down to the retaining wall, only those leading to the grass near the artwork. So i just ended the steps in the building area without any connection yet.
