40291202 | about 9 years ago | Please, when you import or make an automated edit, make sure you don't scramble the elements already in place! For example, i had shaped this amphitheatre in half-moon: osm.org/relation/6206201 but since your edit, it lost its shape. Also consider if it's worth to import from a source where the data is mostly used for rendering because having many obsolete nodes on straight lines adds "heavy" data in OSM since its map data is not only used for rendering but also for primary data (think, mobile GPS units using vectors for routing). Thanks for your comprehension! |
40485266 | about 9 years ago | Hello, please do not create self intersection lines from the area element, here the Grass MultiPolygon (see MP on the map here: osm.org/relation/5460502 ), this will clearly create an error report from OSMinspector (http://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=multipolygon&lon=6.11492&lat=49.81973&zoom=9&opacity=1.00&overlays=invalid_geometry_hull,duplicate_ways,intersections,intersection_lines,ring_not_closed_hull,ring_not_closed,unconnected_end_nodes,touching_inner_rings_hull,touching_inner_rings,role_mismatch_hull,role_mismatch,duplicate_tags_hull,duplicate_tags) and for now Luxembourg is quite clean yet compared to other areas, let's keep it that way. I'm going to correct later but letting it for now so that you can check what i mean on the link i provided. Thanks for your comprehension :) |
40459427 | about 9 years ago | Thanks for the response! I corrected anyway since I noticed another tag issue on the same way + others (route=bicycle should only be used on relations), will check if there is a cycling route. :) |
40459427 | about 9 years ago | Hello HAL_Lux! For this way osm.org/way/38684925 You've set it as access=private and bicycle=yes. Doesn't this mean instead that its access is permissive? Also, if bicycles have access, wouldn't pedestrians (foot) have the same right of access? |
40392882 | about 9 years ago | Hi! Well i really don't think that anyone will ever need a map for such tiny driveways, they are barely 20 meters long max according way size/scale, and they are directly accessible from main street or nothing suggests that the entrance from the buildings or private resid.area is somewhat hidden. Plus i really think that the neverending increase of data will not only be uneasy for OSM servers but also for the mobile devices who use OSM. Just taking into consideration a hardware issues... Also the person who created them just did 40 edits, an occasional contributor who maybe didn't know what to plot... Really, i carefully pay attention to many details before erasing any data. :) But i don't mind putting them back, undo the deletion... No need to undo the complete changeset. |
40363151 | about 9 years ago | Hi Dan! Is this hiking route "Sentier de la Batte à Halanzy" really correct? osm.org/relation/2063603 First this route isn't located in Halanzy as the name suggests, then i found sources showing it totally different in Halanzy: - official source http://www.aubange-tourisme.be/PDF/lesentierdelabatte.pdf - http://www.gpsies.com/map.do?fileId=ywjdebfgwfgxinsm - http://www.sitytrail.com/m/lang-fr/viewer/?trailid=93078&Context=cgtlimited |

40141598 | about 9 years ago | Bonjour,

39641922 | about 9 years ago | Hi Dan, since your changeset, it seems that a large portion of the MP forest positioning (osm.org/relation/86291) has been shifted up to north, so compared to reality there is now a large offset. I can't move it in iD since it doesn't allow us to move such big elements. In the mean time i've just corrected the misplaced tagging, the landuse=forest tag should have been on the area of the MP, not on the line defining the perimeter. Thanks and have a good day! :) |
39244400 | over 9 years ago | Hello Wilda, I've been brought here because of this OSMi report: http://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=geometry&lon=6.10648&lat=49.59866&zoom=17&opacity=1.00

37782391 | over 9 years ago | I checked it yesterday, needed a walk anyway... even had a rain shower, LOL. The 1st large part of the way is actually a track unused for long, so i changed tags accordingly, added details and the noexit tag on the final node. The rest is not even a path since no sign of recurrent use, just less little vegetation on the ground, it ends 100m after the crevices/sinkholes with scrubs/trees. Unfortunate, i was hoping for a real singletrail which would lead to the series of paths in the south. Thanks for all anyway! |
37782391 | over 9 years ago | OK! Thanks for the advice but you increased even more my curiosity. LOL |
37782391 | over 9 years ago | OK! I will check it one of these next days. I added a fixme=continue just in case i forget. Thank you! :) |
37782391 | over 9 years ago | Hello! Does this path continue?
|
38894082 | over 9 years ago | Since you don't care, i corrected it. |
38894082 | over 9 years ago | Basically you will have to replace the right relation on the elements to form the MP. |
