Good afternoon Osmand team,

A few days ago I made a change to my OSM data via the app (changeset osm.org/changeset/157217893). Another OSM user pointed out that the Georgian name in the 'name' field had been replaced by its English equivalent. This is against the OSM naming convention (the 'name' field should be filled in the official language of the country, if available).

The problem is that I didn't change the name, only the type of POI... it seems that Osmand App somehow did this, as my default language is set to English (Transliterate is not available).

I tried to make a change again and indeed the same thing happened to this POI. (changeset osm.org/changeset/157533185).

Hope you can fix this issue.

I just changed the type of poi to second hand. Didn’t do anything with the name tag.
I used osmand to make the update. It has settings to transliterate names with Latin characters but for visual purposes only. I’ve never encountered such a behavior (to drag transliteration into a change set). I’ll investigate when I reach my laptop.
