There is a very rugged trail, almost impassable from So. Dolphin St that should be removed. The trail starting at the Big Cedar and loops back to the boardwalk split is OK but is unimproved and often muddy.

Yes, the area marks the trailhead where you can park. It is the only access point for the wetland. You can see the boardwalk was added to the 50 acre wetland. The end of the boardwalk has the largest Western Red Cedar tree, estimated at 900 years old. The boardwalk is ADA compliant for wheelchairs and strollers. Previous map references indicated Island St as and access point. That is now closed as it was just a local (and muddy) trail.
