The desert line is apparently disused, and blocked by rockfall.
If you know which sections are still in operation and which are disused, here is the correct way for tagging: osm.wiki/OpenRailwayMap/Tagging#Tracks

Is the old cable car station still there? If so, it should not be removed completely in my opinion.

Drawing the old cable car as closed / demolished instead of removing it from the dataset could be useful for archived maps (similar to disused/razed railways)
