The govenment is making it hard for us

Look at this article (the article is in dutch, but you'll know enough with the photo)

http://www.standaard.be/artikel/detail.aspx?artikelid=BV319CBE

The traffic sign says no GPS is allowed. In the entire article, they're talking about putting your GPS off and so, but I hope they mean "routing software" instead of "GPS" :-P

Otherwise it would be impossible to track the new situation of the crossing near Lummen:

osm.org/?lat=51.0016&lon=5.229&zoom=14&layers=M

The new crossing is open since today and I hope it will be adapted soon on OSM.

Well it's about the routing software ... some 'very clever' people just do what their GPS says ....

The first time I used a GPS (the purpose was to set ip up for a collegue) I was standing on the roof of a building in Brussels, after it found the satellites , I asked it to show me the way to the south train station ... It just said "go straight forward for 1km .... :)
Just do not trust the lady :)

LOL, that's a great one.

Hehe a friend told me here in Germany we have similar signs for districts that have obviously outdated map datas :)

But hey I assume it's not about the cleverness of a guy to follow the navi. This is just some kind of training. So I guess everybody that is relaxed will do what the magic voice sais ;)

I saw this one in real life before I realised it was a news story. A sign specifically telling truck drivers to ignore their sat nav. I like the symbols.

I think a sign like that will confuse the lorry driver and so he will be stuck :-D

Like the first comment, you could interprete the sign as "only accessible to flying saucers". I love those drawings.

Sometimes, signalisation is just so good, like here:

Dutch speaking people have to go to the right, French speaking to the left.

Btw, does anyone knows if there is a free database for temporarily geographical data? Like road works. I could really use this in my home town. Because I always forget where they are working, and so, I do a detour.
