Hi,

One more proof that ID is inadequate... alarm bells went off and when loading the area into JOSM, the connections, restrictions showed broken, nothing to control, nor is it a motorroad anymore, so I took the axe to these. The other aerts I ignored such as bridge with no way on it. Looks weird though... one cycles past and underneath but nothing on the map. We'll see if the demolition really starts in Jan. Noticeable is that the new smaller work board showed a dropped price for these works. Maybe because they subtracted the cost of the 'new' bypass.

Have a nice day..

Hi,

waiting on part 7 with baited breath. Now many of these Elba islets are highlighted as needing an inner role. Since there are two lines each, both with outer, think last time the 'outer' correction landed on the wrong outline. So my interpretation, that all in the Elba relation need to be outer and those with the Santuaire Pelagos need to be inner. Took me a long time to load all members into JOSM than dragged a islet node to kick the validator and sure the MP is not working, warning there is a style on member outlines members.
https://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=areas&lon=10.35879&lat=42.74781&zoom=19&baselayer=Geofabrik%20Standard&opacity=0.50&overlays=duplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways%2Cduplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways
Personally I'd tag this as a boundary as it is now and removing all the 'inner' as everything inside the SP sea zone is automatically part of the reserve. Maybe another reader of this has comment to this.

Comment to self: This is a rouge CS created during a crashed JOSM sessions while uploading a 1300 node CS set. Lesson to take away from: When JOSM upload/session crashes or comp has power faiil during upload and restarting JODM to recover the data not yet uploaded, check if a partial CS was entered into OSM. Two possible solutions. 1) Backout/revert the CS resulting from the crashed/partial CS upload and then retry to original upload. 2). Run a JOSM Update Data or Update Modified to fetch any node IDs that may have been created during the failed upload. If you dont you could likely end up with orphaned nodes, in this case exactly 1000. Saves lots of time the next day not having to delete these duplicate nodes from the system.

Hi,

There are bunch 'Correzione coastline' on Elba which actually have self intersections which stop them to render. Are you going to fix these? Details found on OSM Inspector, in bright, light blue and purple at :https://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=areas&lon=10.29763&lat=42.79609&zoom=12&baselayer=Geofabrik%20Standard&opacity=0.50&overlays=duplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways%2Cduplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways

Hello,

This little sideproject is complete, no further error warnings by OSMI and Osmose. It ended the forest going into 5-6 parts, the largest residual having 200 and few members left.

cheers

Think the render cycle is up to 1km minutely "except" as you observe sea. These and the 2km zoom and further out like nightly. One of the insiders replied to me a while ago on the community forums as the 2km and up used to be weekly on Friday night.... so it's patience till like 04:00 CET also because OSMI only diagnoses in a 24 hour cycle to see if any other breaks need fixing.

When getting conflicts in JOSM, a) I run an update modified and b) usually choose the 'their version', accepting that the other mapper was quicker.

Hi,

So the Santuaire Pelagos MP monster of 2300+ members still exists. At any rate, the island 2 hours after (you're an earlybird) mapper too,, with Ctrl+F5 continues to renter as sea in any zoom thru 1km. We'll know after tonight if in 2km zoom it's still the case, then we know more needs foxing. To me, a revert of the wildmeachael CS would have been appropriate with so many breaks in the outline and self intersections on the north side in OSMI area viewing.

Happy mapping.

Seriously Lol. So much for collaboration at nat level. At least the sign back colour is same. Can count the times cycling into Marche on 2 fingers and that's years ago. Supposedly a cycle/foot bridge is under construction across the Torrente Vibrata near Martinsecuro. The crossing on the SS16 is absolutely horrible there, not inviting to go into . The c/f bridge in San Benedetto and beyond. and v.v.
In Francavilla was supposed to open in 2022, then it became Pasqua 2024, We're nearing 2025 and they finally started on the way construction across, Some ugly steal construct. The huge concrete pylon towering over town not a visual asset.

Have a nice day

Done, actually took the best part of the afternoon, split about 6 ways, some isolated forest sections separated as well. The original has 249 members left. Adjusted the outlines in places where time had progressed and wood had been replaced by vineyards, meadows and the like. Found more problems with other mappers signature on in and fixed those on the go. Anyway. theoretically editing should now be a little more swifter in ID too.

Have a nice evening

PS some inner areas not made inner I left as they were not in the forest relation. Guess its more of these mixed zones where you like trees to show on rock. AFAIC any fell there is can be changed to grassland or meadow. There's nothing visible that I think qualifies these areas as Scandinavian fell.

Hi,

Interesting. So happened to have covered the way from Giulianova to Sangro up and down and noticed that the part going thru Pineto including a new cycleway with top notch paving, lit and 3.5 wide in Scerne has now been dual signed both as BI-6 and Ciclovie di Cerrano so adapted that part.

As I've commented on CS's that touch on the SS16 with 4200 members, the BI-6 with near 1600 and counting is due for a regional split and then combine into a super route. Done the Appenine Bike Tour route of 3100km in 44 parts in an SR and works a treat. Any change and just a BBox for that section at most, not one covering the whole of Italy, plus it loads quick, manageable.
One editor from France started removing vrs tags en mass along the BI-6 without discussion which DWG reverted. Think for now certain tags needs to remain on way parts due the messy and broken up parts a big 'WIP' ambient relating to this route.
Next up, a new section north of Ortona including using the old rail gallerie thru to Lido Riccio... lack of money is making the progress slow like much in poor Abruzzo. The Ortona to Sangro stretch has become beautiful cycleway, if windy sometimes with constant view of the Adriatic, the resorts and the 'trabucchi' of course for sea food eating.

cheers.

Hi,

This is typically a late afternoon chore. I'll schedule it for the next couple of (rainy) days. I've looked a bit, there's really no good way to split but along one winding road and a large complex inner area which will cut out many members already. as then it becomes outer, Still recommending to try out JOSM as it's a rarity such complex MP relations can't be loaded in one go. It will tell you exactly where the shoe needs tweaking. When these issues appear it's always ID, never seen a JOSM mapper being flagged that I can remember.

Thanks for replying and link (info we cant legally use in OSM) and routers don't care about abiding or not. The pedestrian zone combod with no stopping sign and vehicles is telling. OSM has no solution for ZTL tagging meaning periodic closure but for foot (and bike here in IT at 'veloce moderato'). We call it ATL here but it's exactly the same, it's split in 5 zones for which residents have a zone N permit. Anyway, the square being a parking lot is the escape clause, it has a painted way to get to Spedalieri If it can be made out in the recent OSM aerials or you confirm to have now 'local knowledge' post 'survey', the way can be mapped without OSM rule infraction. motor_vehicle:conditional=yes @ destination may be called for on the ZTL streets.. The digi displays here at zone entrance points with ATL active of not-active' is how outsiders learn when not to drive in. The pedestiran sign effectively telling 5 kmh maxspeed. Many cycle ways here have 10kmh sign when shared with foot or a 'velocità moderata' sub-sign

thanks again.

Hi,

Where do cars go now coming from Via Giuseppe Garibaldi past the church & square as Corso Umberto Primo is one way opposite directions on the part south of your 'foot only'? Something must have change there too to get out e.g. to Pz Spedalieri and Pz Azzia?

cheers

Big Box due add of mast to HV line.

157365174 10 months ago

Would propose the SS16 relations is split into regional sections, Marche, Abruzzo, Emilia etc so as not to cause long rendering waits in editing and cause BBox every time some edits a single node on this 4200 member relation. After splitting combine into super route.

Hi Martinummo,

Looks at the chg sets i posted in the area you mapped to see details, parking, ways (bad practise to map ways along edges of areas, inter area gaps. parking access, layering (arcades same as building passage behove no layer is=n. and more.
The place to look is your stats page at HDYC (How did you contribute) at neis. https://hdyc.neis-one.org/?Martinummo
There's links to various lists, most pronounced, you've got > 600 routing issues to your name at OSM Inspector https://resultmaps.neis-one.org/hdyc-osmi-issues?uid=6698832, Also the Osmose links give more problems, often false positives but you have to study them before dismissing, else correct. Level 1 is grave, there's level 2 and level 3 too. Level one/two surely needs attention. Don't tag steps with access=yes or anything (an ID quirk), delete those else you allow horses to climb them too and granny in her wheelchair gets routed there and dangerous goods.
Level 3 mentions a lot of parking issues. Either add a tag parking=streetside or map a way onto it, don't stop at the edge, map to where cars really drive and specify when true aisle or a service way.

Have fun 'fixing'.

157215676 10 months ago

Hi,

Thanks for mapping in Italy. You keep 'fixing' landuse and other things and leaving a trail of issues, particularly unconnected nodes.... in Silvi, in Roseto, yesterday Giulianova. Overlying nodes have to be grey (connected) in ID.

happy mapping.

PS, this tag needs fixing anyhow...

aadr:housenumber=1

156921559 11 months ago

Hi,

Buildings in Italy have absolutely no housenumber.... they go to the entrance be it a node on the building outline or on the gate to the property, where the number shield tag is. Can all be read in the Italian wiki v.v. addresses.

Ciao,

Buona mappatura
