Hi,

Today saw a new one, fenced off with 2 parking hoops, WIP, PLUS a roof in the corner of my eye while racing by on Via Santuario where the Thursday Mercato Scoperto is held. Don't know about this one on Pz Colonna but when adding I need to remember if covered=yes or no.and go back to the first one as that has a roof too in the picture I took.

Hi there Brian
Hope i did not cause some cardiac event sending you those issue links.
May i ask why you use the residential living_street tag on the walking areas instead of pedestrian? It would not resolve any duplicatie edge issue but at least the label would be as intended in the park and you'd still have to map paths across to each event entrance as areas are simply non-routable filler to navigation software.
Ciao

hmmm, I could not immediately point you to the reference but one sentence said that building:part exits mainly for 3D renderers. With both it shows 'correct' in 2D and 3D.
Tagging for the renderer we do all the time... take 20 parking_spaces and then map an parking area around it. Looks nice all these little square spaces

The gospel is to not split lanes unless there is a physical separation, yet a zillion junctions and roundabouts in Italy have been in the standard layout. Painted double separation line not allowed to cross is not physical, painted traffic islands are not 'physical' either, yet it's treated diametrically opposed. Sounds familiar? Motorway exits have full physicals separation in 20+ meter stretches at the tollgates, but don't you dare, splitting them in cash, debit, credit card and telepass lanes regardless of the concrete slabs and toll booths and gantries.
I'm thoroughly unimpressed.

There hundreds upon hundreds of samples around with both. Then it has to be building=*xyz and in relation tagged as =part or roof or buildingpart, whatever, i prefer latter. Suggest you make a screenshot of the 2 buildings now and revisit in a few weeks when a full render cycle has completed if it still renders the same in standard OSM. Seen samples where just the outline remains with biulding:part=yes. Right now not even the 'church' color is showing, just the regular building hue.
cheers

Via Giardiagrele and the east way of Pz Garibaldi are not routed as part of the SS81 that I can see.

101261635 over 4 years ago

Does that route follow the SS81 to the letter?

101261635 over 4 years ago

Don't know, can't see. It will deviate from the SS81 where there is only a one way south.

101503248 over 4 years ago

Both tags were there in 2015 as placed by Francesco and I've come to see that both together is fine.

101261635 over 4 years ago

The response Is: "Couldn't find a route between those two places."

101503248 over 4 years ago

You changed all building=church parts to building:part=yes on both churches. In a little while what will be left to view is the church outline and that's it. Both tags coexist fine. i.e. building=church + building:part=whatever.

101503248 over 4 years ago

Read again. IN ADDITION TO. As said, the parts will disappear from standard OSM view. Building:parts is used for 3D rendering purposes e.g.
You did not use, you removed all building=church tags and put the dumb building:part=yes in place. Kindly put them back, on both churches.

If you follow the route as it is laid out now in Chieti centro, it only goes from north to south. try follow the route from Guardiagrele to Penne, you get stuck in Chieti.

101261635 over 4 years ago

Your changes show the SS81 route now that can only be traversed through Chieti from north to south but not followed from south to north. Is that the plan?

101503248 over 4 years ago

Hey there and here you go again not reading the wik or understanding: Quote:

"A way with the tag building:part=* describes a part of a building where some building attributes or the building function are different from the rest of the building. Note that building:part=* are OPTIONAL areas used IN ADDITION TO. building=*areas should be always within a separate building=* area representing the entire building."

Note the CAPITALIZED words... the tags can co-exist. ONLY building:part will cause the building TO NOT RENDER.
As noted in my last edit before you raced in, that outer relation was never created either.

Reverse your edit.
thx

This morning reversed another long distance street node drag causing near 2 dozen highway-building intersections. Fortunately these persons ignore the alerts in these cases when closing the edit sets so it was relatively easy to put the node back where it came at Raffaele Sanzio
I'm quite sure this was very coördinaten by a class and a teacher responsible for putting them on this mission.

thx for replying, Just me, seen parking_space dozens if not hundreds of times creating disability parking spots and lots and still falling for the reflexive... the Id editor is often slow here to fill in or offer the options. I have to slow down too ;o)

For tagging consistency in OSM parking:fee but parking_space
(I know, it's just a dream)
Have a nice day.

Hello, you have to check each item before you commit. This change set has produced 12 warning. Each you click on each item you changed, then left top a yellow warning box appears explaining the potential issue.
Go slow, do small changes check check check before saving

OK, so here is your QA report, updated daily around the same time of the day,the time varies depending on where on the only planet we have
https://hdyc.neis-one.org/?Brian@Brea
If you follow the 'detail' link you get the first 500.
https://resultmaps.neis-one.org/hdyc-osmi-issues?uid=416346
As what I saw in your favorite place, 'unconnected open ends' is top of your issue type list, the other is ' no_feature_tag_nodes (?)' because you leave those lines there. Also here is the positional blob report. Each one and colour have a significance, click on each and you get a short explanation of the issue.
https://osmose.openstreetmap.fr/en/map/#item=xxxx&zoom=17&lat=33.814003&lon=-117.918712&level=1,2,3&tags=&fixable=

I discovered these reports when I was at 1300 and whittled them down over the course of months while learning at a steep slope... now it is my daily morning chore. Total I have momentarily: 2. Each day I knock off 10-15 new ones. The report is my QA gatekeeper, keeping it down gives me piece of mind, and least moans by fellow mappers.
Cheers again.

Ps as noted in my first Comments, there are 1000s of issue blobs on disneyland, you just dont seem to know of the reports i only got there because of someone tag typo i corrected at which point your errors also get listed under my error list little did i know the pit landes myself in by a simple typo correction.
The detail you put in is amazing... Grats on that.
