Thank for clearing. Normally I rely on the OSMI summary that Pascal Neis generates of daily issues I've left behind. Unfortunately the report has been broken since 2 weeks, so I use the Inspector map to look around, but I hardly do in my own back garden :O))). Yesterday fixed a large forest up north no longer rendering, version 354 or so, and nobody notices it disappeared from the 1km and greater zoom.

Happy Ferragosto (oh wait, German interface, it's the national holiday of national holidays here in Italy.)

Hi Giorgio

You do a lot, great stamina, you also leave unresolved errors. I just fixed half a dozen just in this small zone. When you save an edit set, open the summary. It will tell if something needs fixing like above a way crossing a way, but not connected (did not fix that one).

There's tools like Inspector and Osmose and Keepright that run analysis, daily or bi-weekly. They highlight if something is wrong/needs review. In this case I fixed unclosed rings, duplicate segments, not connected overlaying nodes (duplicate node). Some will prevent an error to render the area.

cheers

PS You can see in the Neis report how many edits you did in a day https://hdyc.neis-one.org/?Giovanni%20Forgione . The Change set comment box is for the purpose of describing what you did so reviewers can judge if they need to drill in for any issues.

Ciao Giorgio

Great, the forest renders again.

Hi,

As you keep creating 'island-all' pathways, this wiki explaining the issue.

osm.wiki/OSM_Inspector/Views/Routing

All path ways must connect back to the global highway network. footpaths and steps are too part of that network. Especially objects like squares and pedestrian areas are none routable as well. Ways, however imaginary must be mapped across to wherever the person would walk, the next sidewalk or parking aisle e.g.

Another classic is appending ways that allow e.g. motor vehicles, when the earlier part in the way is tagged as not allowed. Creates an island-car situation.

The wiki link v.v 'island all' and other disconnect issues: osm.wiki/OSM_Inspector/Views/Routing

Areas are no routable elements, paths, ways must be mapped across however imaginary to get from point A to point B on planet earth.

Unknown and mix of imagery with different offsets used in this area makes fitting elements hard. Please check past used for area consistency.

Hi,

alt_name and name are same, duly removed. No duplicates in name, alt_name, old_name, nat_name etc.

ALSO, names of percorsi belong on track, not on farmland, scrub wood or other area edges.

BETTER is to create a percorso relation and tag all parts of the route in the relation. Then you only need to enter the name 1 time and updating becomes very easy.

ciao

traduzione

Because OSM draws a 'bound box' from the most furthest apart nodes edited, here Canada, Roumania and somewhere in Africa, Solletea. Every mapper in that bound box gets to see these edits in their local edit history regardless if there was an edit in their regular mapping area. FOR DAYS.

This wiki explains it much better than I can on Geographical area, keedp it local: osm.wiki/Changeset

Mama may be proud, but then mamas are hardly unbiased towards sons.

124734302 about 3 years ago

Mama must have told you that a long time ago, lest she's with you on vacation. ;P)

PS Doing this in a single half globe covering edit is sort of 'Not Done'. And mail boxes are patient ;o)

that's 4 times same flag in Petri. Why add pedestrian area to square?

124674437 about 3 years ago

square and pedestrian area on one item does not fly in QA.

In fact, I'm discovering you've create way overlaps, noting that roundabouts get the road rating of the highest level way direct connecting i.e. it should have been tagged as tertiary.

Me having fixed 2 bus routes, there's sure to show half a dozen more tomorrow on my 'touched' list since the roundabout was not circular (right click on a round item and select the ring to make something round.

TBC

Start small in a town like Rome with all the complex inter-relations or you risk to break a lot in a single action.

In doing so, you broke bus routes that cross the roundabout connecting to Via Giovanni Kobler: Know what you do, and do what you know.

Hi,

you mapped a tagless line in this CS
osm.org/way/909745647
Osmose reports: "Missing tag or role on way 909745647"

You know best what it's supposed to do

Absent your urgent response, this erroneous change immediately affected vehicle routing, made the change in CS osm.org/changeset/124593459
If you tell me where the signs of 1.9 meters and 1.8 are we can revisit.
Be careful with adding traffic affecting entries in StreetComplete, be absolutely sure, enter data while surveying on site.

cheers

Hi,

where did you get 1.9 respectively 1.8 maxheight from... a sign? Can you tell me where those signs area positioned?
I know that road very well, passed it again yesterday and the passage is more like 10 meters passing below the A25.

Hi,

Most odd, I know I mapped this way and tagged, 2 years ago as other part of way shows, it displays in my cycle program, Bosch connect, map base OSM 10/2021, rode it quite a few time, yet no history, version 1, How come, did you split the way in the process which notoriously looses history of segments? It's btw signed as part of the cycle track B6, but it's used by farmers and service vehicles too. Needs a motor_vehicle=permit tag. Also foot=designated + segregated=no. it's how to get to Punto Aderci from the parking.

Pune, India AND a road section in Germany resulting in every mapper in between to get this in their CS history view for the next couple of days. Surely you know the drill.

Hi

You changed track to unclassified but left the track:type grading on it and from space in ESRI imagery it sure looks like track to me and entering from the north end you go heel deep into the mud, barely doable in a 4WD i.e a trac-k-tor way. Is there some other guiding rule at work here?

Hi,

sorta wondering if that descriptive text was a copy/paste as OSM rejects hard carriage return. I've removed them to solve the issue

And thanks for mapping this 'glaring' port omission.
