Having always held a fascination for maps, this project is right up my street!
I'd like to be able to map the Hedinghams as accurately as the equipment I possess allows, and I'm using it as a way to divert my energies away from work at least once a week. So far I've plotted all of Castle Hedingham's streets, and have started on footpaths and other features.
This weekend I've begun work on Sible Hedingham's streets, but I can see that it will take a lot of work to get it to a reasonable standard, and I'm less familiar with the footpaths.

Hi Simon, welcome. You're a bit on the edge of the area, but you might want to join the talk-gb-midanglia mailing list at http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-gb-midanglia which is loosely centered on Cambridge. In particular we'll want to address completing Bury St Edmunds soon, and I've no doubt there will be interest in doing Sudbury at some point.

Many thanks. I'd find it hard to anything in an organised way - I just use it as an excuse to drop my work for a couple of hours. It would take me that long just to get to Bury and back!
One thing, however - can anyone advise me how to map Falcon Square, Castle Hedingham? It's an "area", so simply using a road wouldn't be all that accurate. You'll be able to see the attributes I've applied, which seem to work except that no junction seems to have been made with Church Ponds, King Street and Majendie Lane. Nothing I've been able to do has fixed this. I'd be grateful for any advice.
