Projection and Address Points

Vum Stormspace9 matgedeelt de(n) 10. Februar 2011 op English.

I have the address points file for Florence county in South Carolina, however it is currently in State Plane. How should I reproject it before submitting the file?

When I submit this it will be complete and NOT geocoded, but contain the actual location of each address. I'm waiting on final approval and completion on our end. Likely with in the next week or two.

I recommend making a post to the imports mailing list (to answer your projection question) and follow the import guidelines found on the wiki.

One way to do it is to upload the data to batchgeo. You don't need the location info. Batchgeo let's you create a kml file with custom categories. There are several ways to convert kml to osm, but there aren't any easy ways that keep the information for each point. And you would need to check to make sure kml and be legally used. Id also be interested in finding out if this is possible.
