You don’t say which editor you are using, if it is iD see

Hi Simon, I have not so much experience with OSM and have now problems I can’t change.
I do editing within the website directly and don’t use any other editing program.
I do hope you can provide some help.

Editing on website = you are usind iD editor. Just follow Simon’s links
