How to draw the buildings in ID editor
Апублікавана карыстальнікам Super-Map 5 Студзень 2016 на мове English Апошняе абнаўленне 20 Люты 2017.For generic building draw the square (or other thing), often it’s enough/select building features/ this tag is added: “building=yes” (don’t select “house” but “building”, for generic building) and add always your sources, if you map a specific features after survey, local knowledge or other sources than Bing imagery (source=Bing in ID it’s automatically added on the Changeset source under this form: “imagery_used=Bing aerial imagery when you press “save” & upload) if you need to specify an other source then click on “all tags” (or add field) if you can’t see this on the left panel press the cross, select :”source” in the menu for to add an other source…) for to draw a perfect building in ID you must draw your square and press “s” for to square the corners of this area, you can see all shortcuts you need on line with your favorite editor in this case ID when you have selected a specific feature, in this case the building and when your mouse pass over each menu …
You must see and read the beginners’ guide before start… if you are a newbie.
Thanks for your help, contributions and understanding.
Best regard.

Technically, there is no need to add “source” to every object you have traced in iD, because this editor adds information about used imagery layers to changeset properties automatically.
(Honestly, I don’t understand who is the target group of this diary post.)

Not to mention that per object source tags are in general not needed and worse tend to be nonsensical in the long run.

@ BushmanK
Hi, the target of this post it’s for those who edit (or try to edit), newbie or not and never read the beginner’s guide before to start… too many houses are badly represented especially throughout projects like “humanitarian”… so if I do a post, it’s because I have a lot of reasons for that. If you read the wiki you can see how it’s important to indicate his “sources”… However it’s true, often “Bing” are automatically included, but all sources aren’t Bing imagery…
Thanks for your understanding, have a nice week.

@Super-Map,
Those irresponsible people, who prefer to start mapping without getting any familiarity with project guidelines neither read Wiki nor Diaries. iD includes information about any background layer used during editing session, it does understand, if you have used Bing or something else (including manually connected sources). So, please, get some information about it before posting.
