As of today, I am ending my contributions to opensteetmap. I have come a long way in OSM from the day I first started editing the map in my local area of Glendale, Arizona. To see the influence of corporation’s & the impact of corporate editing on OSM since then has made me realize that I no longer feel the excitement I use to have for editing maps. I have enjoyed the time I have put into OSM, but today is the end of my contributions. Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way with suggestions and guidance. I appreciate all the help that was given.

Las Vegas is in need of a lot of work. I started mapping Las Vegas a few months ago. But now I’ve recently become overwhelmed with the amount of work that is needed there for only just myself to map. And by Las Vegas i mean the entire city except the downtown Area/Las Vegas Strip, which is mostly mapped.

A few weeks ago i started my next mega project on osm. This one includes adding surface tags to all the freeways in the Valley Of The Sun

It’s been a long few weeks, and a lot of work. But as of today i am 25% done with the project. Included in the project is adding streetlamps, walls and fixing any errors i find along the way. I’m also aligning the roads as i go to better fit the newer imagery. More updates will be added the next few weeks as i make more progress.
