Getting going

Ipinaskil ni ThePaperBoy noong 29 Marso 2009 na nasa English

Well I've been at this since Friday night - so far I've:

Added Kelso (town of about 6000 people) - it simply wasn't there before!
Rationalised the roads around Kelso so it has a post-1947 look about it (all the elements of the relief road and bypass are now present and the "main" roads avoid the town centre like they have done for the last 15 or more years)
Joined up the B6350 (previously it petered out into nothingness from the Cornhill end)
Joined up the B6461 (huge gaps in it previously either side of the A697)
Started on the B6460 (it wasn't there at all)
Completed the A6105 (missing from Greenlaw to Earlston)
Joined up the back roads between Coldstream & Duns
Corrected the tagging and numbering of many B-roads in North Northumberland (they were on the map, but as unclassified)
Started to map my home town (Coldstream) - some of the mapping might be a bit iffy so I'll refine it as I go along. Added dull stuff like the Post Office, Police Office, Bowls Club, Football Club & Museum

Next week, whilst I'm "on my bike" I shall add more of the back roads.

Great.. Tayside was a bit like that and now has some of the blank spaces filled in. And Angus is a bit of an OSM desert. It is a long way on the bike to start filling in all the details.

goodstuff I added a few thing in that area from sat pictures a few months back, good to see a man on the ground there now.

Hope you don't mind me tidying up some of the bits from the ground and GPS.
I'm filling in the footpaths bit by bit - certainly getting me out and about the neighbourhood, and up some fiendish (but scenic) hills on the bike.

Careful following the GPS too closely on the paths - whoever did it before me had a strange behaviour on 3 paths that I've filled in...
