Supt look at the sign on the train station and report back as to how it is spelt.

Heya Phil, thanks for the super duper speedy reply! My mistake if it wasn't you who added the name! Will change it now...
Regards,
Thomas!

Hi Phillip.
Despite its historical accuracy, I was wondering if Bullen's Drain is the best name for that creek?
Bracken Creek seems to be the most common contemporary name for the waterway. With the Friends of Merri Creek, a subgroup organisation (Friends of Bracken Creek) and the Merri Creek Management committee all referring to it as such. However, there is seemingly no official documentation of it being named as such and I cannot find where the name originated from. It's only adopted in passing by council occasionally when referring to the golf course.
Officially, Melbourne Water refers to it as Preston Main Drain.
Let me know your thoughts!

Hi Man,
I was just wondering where you got the name for this park from.
Vicplan refers to it as "Crana Reserve" as does Banyule Council.
https://www.banyule.vic.gov.au/Events-activities/Parks-and-reserves/Crana-Reserve
I couldn't see any signs naming the park from mapillary imaging but perhaps I'm missing something?
All the best,
Tom!

Hi Warin!
Thank you so much for catching me on this.
As you can probably tell I'm not too crash hot when it comes to multipolygons.
I hope that I've fixed it now with this newer edit however let me know if this isn't the case.
I made it a relation as map share vic classifies all the creekside zones between Mahoneys Road and Merri Creek as the same parcel - Central Creek Linear Reserve.
In regards to the land use, I'm not too sure. I don't think it is a nature reserve as it doesn't fit into any of the catergorys in the OSM wiki. "a protected area of importance for wildlife, flora, fauna or features of geological or other special interest."
It also doesn't seem to fit into the catergory of park.
I put it into the landuse - grass catergory as i think it fits it best. Being an area of mown and managed grass not otherwise covered by a more specific tag.

I'm sorry if this mistake has caused you any headaches and I'll make sure I read up on Multipolygons before attempting again!
Please let me know if theres still any mistakes in the updated version.
Regards,
Tom

Hi Scotty,
It's a weird one?!
From the looks of things there are 3 Broad Gullies in Nillumbik.
There is one to the north which actually does cross Broad Gully Road; and is named on Mapsharevic
and there is another up near St Andrews North.
I suspect that the watercourse in question wasn't important enough to warrant a name prior to urbanisation and was simply given the unimaginative name of the major road it crossed (Broad Gully Road near Amaroo Court) when it was undergrounded by MMBW. This naming practice can be seen in other drains in the area such as the Bible Street Drain, Zig Zag Road Drain and Allendale Road drain to name a few.
I'll look into it via the Diamond Creek Catchment Study and other resources the next time i'm at Diamond Valley Library in search of a different name - as this kind of thing interests me. However, I suspect that history never got around to recording a name for the drain until it was too late. :/
Keep up the excellent work! Diamond Creek's never looked so good ;)

Where did the name Broad Gully Creek come from? I know broad gully wetland is correct as it appears on Vicplan and the Melbourne Water information display but im not so sure about the creek itself. The Nillumbik Flood emergency plan refers to it as "Broad Gully Road Drain"
I don't mean to nitpick as your edits are so incredibly detailed (Were inspiration for some of my own micromapping) and really add to the map in the Northeast.
Thanks,
Tom
