79194612 | over 4 years ago | Thanks. I've added the wikidata tag osm.org/changeset/102828058 . I may update the wikidata page but got daunted first time around! |
49169 | over 4 years ago | P.S. I thought you knocked the conversation about level of mapping detail on talk-gb into a cocked hat :) |
49169 | over 4 years ago | Thanks very much Mike. The sign certainly exists: https://postimg.cc/PvZVpzXY The arrow, and its position on the path side of the wall, has me think that it isn't referring to the road at the back of Belle Vue Terrace. See also https://postimg.cc/5HrM8gVR So, I think change what is currently called Green Terrace to be an unnamed highway=service, service=alley; name the path and the building outline. You ask a good question about Belle Vue Terrace. I had been thinking that because the road was at the front of the houses it was okay as a highway=residential, but now I look again, it's more like a parking area to the side of the highway=service that runs to the mechanics yard at the back of the theatre: https://postimg.cc/Q9WZm7Nx
Looking on the web, the addresses for those businesses are given as Unit #, Belle Vue Terrace, so it seems it would be legitimate to move it to be the road that goes into that yard, either as a highway=service or a highway=residential? |

73148834 | over 4 years ago | I think osm.org/node/5475771237/history#map=19/53.87157/-1.70725 has been called Mumbai Village for at least the past five years and it is now. Perhaps Mumbai Spice House was an old name? |

95004599 | over 4 years ago | Hi malcolmgc Tagging access=no is like tagging a military area, rather than just a private field. access=private is the preferred tag. |
100594287 | over 4 years ago | Thanks for that. I approached West to East and didn't get as far as the wall before turning back up, but I believe you about the sign. The path is on the 1:10,560 map too from the 1950s/60s. There's a relatively new fence (older than 6 months) with a purpose made gap at osm.org/node/7813856165 which is odd. Yeah I only moved here 5 years ago so don't have long local knowledge |
100594287 | over 4 years ago | Thanks. Well, unfortunately, I first went along that path in late August when I added it (in dim light the first time and with a spotty GPS hence "resurvey"), but having gone along it today it's a well worn path. I don't remember a private sign from my first visit (when I went over the wall. Today I tried to approach it from the other possibly non-existent path (although there's a hint of it at the Western end). There are no "Private" signs at the other ends - and at those ends there are genuine stiles and gaps in the fence (rather than fence torn down, etc).

100594287 | over 4 years ago | Did you tag the right path osm.org/way/841053062 ?

77127011 | over 4 years ago | Hi. Just wondering why you added this turning circle where 3 paths meet osm.org/node/6979701511/history#map=17/53.86951/-1.69582 and why you added the paths in Nunroyd park as cycleways? Thanks |
97650362 | over 4 years ago | Hi malcolmgc. Thanks for your recent contributions. I was wondering if these should be footway instead of path with highway=sidewalk? osm.wiki/Sidewalks

48313054 | over 4 years ago | Have been looking at this and think the culvert needs changing to run near straight down and join the eastern leg, and that the western leg is fed from Harrison Wood / Upcroft house. The eastern leg seems more visible on latest bing imagery. Did you hear the culvert when walking across, or just near the start? Thanks |
