96151849 | almost 4 years ago | Hi. Sorry, I wasn't clear what I was meaning should be merged. I meant these two relations osm.org/relation/9507742 osm.org/relation/12044315 are both called Ebnit and both have the two cliffs osm.org/way/685188147 osm.org/way/222117099 as members. |
107452539 | almost 4 years ago | Hi James. Another time it might be better to split the service road in two, make them both drives by adding service=driveway and access=private. You could also add noexit=yes to the end nodes so someone else doesn't try and join them together again! I have looked at this place before but can't remember it and can't see it well from imagery so haven't done this.

108827005 | almost 4 years ago | Hi James. This looks like some good edits to me. Based on aerial imagery I have made some further changes https://overpass-api.de/achavi/?changeset=110252357 - let me know if they're not helpful. I also wondered if the join between the asphalt and cobblestones is further south? I haven't done this as I haven't surveyed it.

96151849 | almost 4 years ago | Should this be merged with osm.org/relation/9507742 ?

102774916 | about 4 years ago | Hi Mike. Just spotted 3 more near Guiseley Wells.

101349819 | about 4 years ago | Thanks. I've changed that bit and added some walls. osm.org/changeset/104379857#map=17/53.86463/-1.72542 |
101349819 | about 4 years ago | Thanks for pointing that out, I'd forgotten about it. There isn't anything similar up at the road end is there. It's just one big opening |
101349819 | about 4 years ago | Hi Malcolm Where you've added a footpath next to the farm track to Hollins Hill farm, usually that would just be joined to the track at either end and the designation added to the track. I'll fix this unless there's a reason for having it separate? |
96432816 | over 4 years ago | Okay, thanks. Yes, I remember it being up, I can't remember how I got up. I guess there must have been something or I probably wouldn't have marked it as a stile. But maybe it's now been removed. Cheers again for looking. |
96432816 | over 4 years ago | Thanks for checking. When you say a gap, do you mean a big gap or a squeezer (examples on osm.wiki/Tag:barrier%3Dstile#Stile_details )
|
96432816 | over 4 years ago | Oh good 🙂 Or maybe both exist and can be walked depending on the whim of the farmer? |
96432816 | over 4 years ago | Okay, no worries. I'll try and see if it's still there next time I'm out that way |
97649757 | over 4 years ago | 👍 Footway is also what I use. You can also add informal=yes for desire lines and the like |
96432816 | over 4 years ago | I know, it's awkward seeing changes on OSM isn't it. It's osm.org/node/7771217026 but that doesn't help much!
I think what you've added is also there but when I walked that way was blocked by a temporary electric fence if I remember right, but there was a stile I went over. In general, I think if you're going to change / delete something that's already on the map it's worth looking at whether it was just added by someone using Bing or from a 'survey', and how recent it was. Thanks |
97649757 | over 4 years ago | Thanks Malcolm. Yeah, it's something I've struggled with and unfortunately there isn't a straightforward answer overall. However, in this case there is. If it's a pavement beside a road it should be highway=footway; footway=sidewalk (they use the American term because it has a specific meaning). I think it doesn't help that iD uses path and footpath.

Thanks |
96432816 | over 4 years ago | Hi Malcolm. The stile I added existed in July last year. Has it been removed? |
102774916 | over 4 years ago | Cheers :) |
