Naksha 2021 - a national level Mapathon organized by the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University’s NSS Cell, is a one week mapping party that aims at the learning and understanding of the OpenStreetMap (OSM) among people and at creating a free editable map with data that all can access. Programme is organized by Government Engineering College Wayanad (Unit no: 168 & 263), Lal Bahadur Shastri College of Engineering Kasaragod (Unit no:179 & 683), College of Engineering and Management Punnapra (Unit no:558 & 630).

Day 1
Around 750 NSS volunteers participated in the programme through gmeet,youtube and facebook. Day 1 of the mapping party started at 6.30 pm. The party was inaugurated by Honorable Shri. E Chandrashekharan(Kerala Revenue Minister). Live telecast was aired through facebook account and youtube channel ‘NAKSHA 2021’. Prof.Ratheesh S(Programme Coordinator ‘NAKSHA 2021’) delivered welcome speech. Dr. Joy Varghese(Programme Coordinator APJAKTU) gave the presidential address. Dr.Chitra IAS (Director of Kerala State IT Mission) was the keynote speaker of the programme. The programme was moderated by Amulya S J and Varun Vinay(NSS volunteers).After inauguration, cultural programmes and prize distribution were conducted. Miss. Amitha K Biju, Sri. Vipindas, Sri. Finu Muhammed, Sri.Amalraj, Sri. Muhammed Adhil Ashraf were awarded as best students and COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT PUNNAPRA, AMAL JYOTHI COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, GOVERNMENT ENGINEERING COLLEGE WAYANAD, ADI SHANKARA INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING TRIVANDRUM were selected as best colleges by Kerala government OSM mapathon. After that Mr. Arjun (OSM volunteer-ark Arjun) gave a brief introduction about OSM.
Outcome: The programme was successful in providing information about OSM and educating students about the importance of mapping in present scenario. About 750 students participated in the program. The talks given by the guests and speakers were inspiring and educating. The first day of the mapathon proved to be an informative and interesting session.
Day7
Around 200 NSS volunteers participated. Day 7 started at 7 pm. The programme was inaugurated by Honorable Shri G Sudhakaran(Minister of Public Work and Register). Prof.Ratheesh S(Programme Coordinator ‘NAKSHA 2021’) delivered welcome speech. Dr. Joy Varghese(Programme Coordinator APJAKTU) gave the presidential address.. Live telecast was aired through Facebook and YouTube channel. OSM India Volunteer, Shri.Naveen Francis, Smt.ManjuV (Programme Officer, LBSCEK, APJAKTU NSS cell) ,Prof.Ridhin Raj V R (Programme Officer GEC Wayanad) and Smt.SnehaS (Programme Officer, College of Engineering and Management Punnapra) also delivered their messages in the programme. The programme was moderated by Chandana Ranjithand NeenaXavier (NSS volunteers, Govt. Engineering College Wayanad). Cultural programmes were conducted after inauguration and after which the prize distribution wasconducted. The last day of the programme proved to be a great success.
