143375684 | almost 2 years ago | Thanks!! Hours can be so tedious to add and are arguably some of the more useful POI data in OSM. |
143374124 | almost 2 years ago | Hi, and welcome (back) to OSM! Thanks for your contribution. Street names can be tedious to collect so this is valuable info. One very minor tip - it's best to avoid abbreviations in OSM. The reason for this is that it's easy for software to shorten words, but sometimes it's much harder to expand them. Here's some more info: osm.wiki/Abbreviations Anyway, thanks again for your improvement, and I hope you feel you can work on our valley's data anytime! |
143252053 | almost 2 years ago | I'm all for adding trails based on Strava data, but I disagree with deleting them without checking on-site. The trail might just be less-used or not used by the Strava-type crowd. Any thoughts? Were you able to check that City Creek trail in person? |
142120380 | almost 2 years ago | Thanks for doing this. Since they changed the recommended tags, I've wondered - Aren't crossing=unmarked and crossing:markings=no redundant? Anyway, I hope at some point the iD presets get updated to include this. Thanks again! |
142037399 | almost 2 years ago | Hi, and welcome to OpenStreetMap and the valley. Thanks for your contributions! |
141846687 | almost 2 years ago | Oh, this was the note with discussion: osm.org/note/3764067 |
141846687 | almost 2 years ago | There was some discussion a while back regarding the use of "SR xx" vs "UT xx" - see osm.org/note/3764072 by user keithalleman. Do you have any comments about reasoning one way or another? |
141690012 | almost 2 years ago | Hmm, I see. I think you're right that it could go either way. |
141690012 | almost 2 years ago | Assuming you were onsite, would you say the park area extends to the northward into the grass as well? Either way, welcome (back) to OSM and thanks for your contributions!! :) |
141363137 | almost 2 years ago | Can you give some more info on what the idea is here? |
140966019 | almost 2 years ago | Hi there! Thanks for your contributions. Just want to welcome you to OSM and to the valley! |
140948042 | almost 2 years ago | Researching it a little more, it looks like a proposal was put forward recently, but it was rejected. :( osm.wiki/Proposal:Cell_reception |
140948042 | almost 2 years ago | I think it is really useful to know whether there is cell signal somewhere. However, I wonder if tagging it this way will confuse those looking for public WiFi? The wiki for internet_access=wlan seems to show that it's used for WiFi hotspots. |
139403764 | about 2 years ago | Gotcha. That makes sense! |
139403764 | about 2 years ago | Is piste:name even necessary here since it's the same as the general name? |
139318579 | about 2 years ago | Looks good to me. IIRC the general rule is that separate ways are only valid when there's physical separation (grass, concrete barrier, etc.) but there are exceptions like parking aisles and stuff. I'd say everything there looks reasonable. |
138626314 | about 2 years ago | Hi, have you been to this location? These bleachers aren't a building. They just provide seating. |
138271296 | about 2 years ago | It's starting to seem like users should need to be whitelisted or something before being able to post comments or diary entries with links... |
138301040 | about 2 years ago | Do you know what the right way to specify the parking lot as being an "inner" area of the larger scrub multipolygon? I know how when the inner is all one way, but not sure when it's split up like you've done. |
138313130 | about 2 years ago | Hi, and welcome to OSM! Here are a few tips to work better with the community:
