Howdy, and welcome to OpenStreetMap! Thanks for your contribution here. Here are a couple things to consider:
- In Cache Valley, the road format generally matches this proposal: osm.wiki/Utah/Naming_Conventions - That's because we follow the "on the ground" principle, meaning that the name tag should reflect what the street signs say. Directional prefixes ("East" in this case) go in the name:prefix tag.
- More broadly, it's best to avoid abbreviations in OSM tags. Here's more info: osm.wiki/Abbreviations

Hi there. The feature you added "Advanced Roofing LLC" has been removed because it looks like it's misplaced or spam. Can you comment on that? Let me know if you have accurate info and we can get your business listed correctly on OSM.

Are they in the process of paving these, or what? They already existed, right?

Interesting. Reading the article, it looks like the 400 E intersection is the only one signed Kip Throne? (Also, I wonder if "Throne" in the article is a typo, or what...? I'll add a note to remind me to check signage in person sometime.

Ah yes. I think I've seen it signed as such at the intersection on 1000 North at least. My typical procedure is to use name= for whatever has the bigger font size on road signs, and alt_name= for the smaller name text. (Sometimes it's the coordinate system name, sometimes vice versa)

Hi! Did you mean to put "Municipool" here? Also, these tennis courts are operated by Mt Logan Middle School, correct?

Looking at this a little closer, it looks like there might be a problem with the geometry... Were you able to verify that? If not I'd say we should just go off of what looks right on the satellite imagery.

Hi, and welcome to OpenStreetMap! Since you requested a review, I looked over your changes here. In this case, a couple changes are necessary. In OSM, we only use the "name" tag to describe the actual "common name" of a feature. For this driveway, there are other tags to describe the nature of the road, such as
highway=service
service=driveway.
I went ahead and fixed that. Let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for your contributions!!

Howdy! Did you happen to catch if this pickleball court is open for public use? Or is it private?

Hi! I see you added an overlapping building feature for the Maverik Stadium bleachers. Have you ever been here in person to confirm that? Last time I observed these on-site, the seating area wasn't a building, there's no way to go inside/under it, and it doesn't extend upward from the ground.

The OSM wiki says about the building= tag:
"In OpenStreetMap, a building is a man-made structure with a roof, standing more or less permanently in one place."
The Maverik Stadium bleachers don't have a roof. Because of that and the other things I've mentioned, you shouldn't tag them as a building.
Thanks, and please let me know your thoughts.

Regarding map updates, how long it takes for updates to appear depends on what map you're looking at. For openstreetmap.org, an update should appear within 10-30 mins. But if you're using some third party app or something, updates can range from near-instant to months or years. What is your map of interest?

My suggestions were mostly referring to the roads you added called "x access" such as "south canyon access". I'm asking if that's the actual real name of the road? And if not, that data is still valuable but we can put it under other tags as appropriate. We just shouldn't use the name tag to describe a feature. The name tag should only be for the actual name.

Hi, and welcome to OpenStreetMap! Nice additions here - contributions like this are really valuable for hikers since a lot of external services draw from OSM for paths and stuff.
Generally, the name tag is for the official or "common" name of a feature. That means it might appear on a signpost or map board or something. If not, you might consider using other related tags like `loc_name` (for informal names that a local might use casually) or `destination`. (see osm.wiki/Key:destination)

Let me know if you have any input or questions. I haven't modified any of the stuff you added, just want to get your thoughts. Thanks again for your work here, and welcome to OSM!

That field (osm.org/way/29267479) is too small to play American football on. I think they use it for marching band practice or something.
