I have emailed the business owner inviting them to review this edit, to determine whether or not there is an art gallery at this location.

Yes, I understand what you are saying, and I disagree.

These are perfectly fine to map and they do not overload the map.

120958634 about 3 years ago

What you did wrong was to remove data from the map that another user added. The reason you gave was that the areas "no requiere mapeo". That is not your decision to make. Other mappers felt that they did require mapping and so they traced those roads from satellite imagery.

For example
osm.org/way/1034058178

Please do not remove valid information that another mapper has added.

Is it wrong, or do you just not want it to be mapped?

120958634 about 3 years ago

Being local does not entitle you to remove valid data that others have mapped.

Hello,
Can you please add sources to your POI edits? Since you've indicated in previous comments that you live in the Los Angeles area, I assume you're not walking down the streets of New York to record POI information. We need an assurance that you aren't copying from copyrighted sources like Google Maps and Yelp. I've looked up a number of your other edits and they seem to match what Google has in many cases. The most basic rule of OpenStreetMap is "don't copy from other maps". Can you describe your workflow please? If you prefer, you can discuss with the community in chat on slack at https://slack.openstreetmap.us/

Hello, there does not appear to be an art gallery at this location, just looks like some residences. Since a source was not included here, can you say where you got the information from?

Please don't label a karaoke lounge as a music shop. These are entirely different things! You've changed it twice now.

Hi, thanks for adding a new node, I noticed that you put "WOLF'S" in all-caps, just wondering if that was intentional or if maybe it was copied from somewhere?

I did look at the website, and it had no indication of a physical address. I've also reviewed imagery of the streetfront, and there is no indication of a storefront. So I ask again, how is an independent observer able to verify this POI?

120724908 over 3 years ago

Any mapper should be able to verify that a piece of data in the map is valid and real information. In other words, an independent person needs to be able to confirm what is there in some way. Is this POI verifiable? Does your business have any visible physical presence that another mapper might observe? For example, if you were selling virtual items from your home or apartment but with no physical manifestation from the exterior, this would not be taggable in OSM.

Hi there. I was not able to find a shop at this location called BUCXplorers, and the website that's tagged appears to be a personal vanity page that you've created related to the game Upland. Can you please clarify what is intended with this edit?

Hi there! While these historic names are certainly interesting, we only map what's here in the world today. However, the great news is that we have a sister project called OpenHistoricalMap which would LOVE to have these kinds of contributions! Please see: https://openhistoricalmap.org/

FYI, the "website" tag is used to hold a POI's specific website, something like www.myrtlepub.com. It's not used for 3rd party links or review sites like Yelp.

Hi, in this changeset, you modified osm.org/way/425665123 to remove it's building tags. Can you explain what you were trying to do here? In the meantime, I will restore it to its original form in order to add it back to the map.

Hi there and welcome to OpenStreetMap! The tagging on this Walgreens was not quite right, but I've fixed it in osm.org/changeset/120684879

For chain brands like this, you can actually just type "Walgreens" in the search bar in the editor and it will fill out all the right tags for you. Happy mapping!

I have summarily reverted this change in changeset 120683519 based on a pattern of POI edits that remove information and also appear to be copying from Google Maps. Also, based on your recent changeset comments, I should remind you that it is expected that you communicate with other editors in the community respectfully. If you believe this action was in error, please email data@openstreetmap.org
