114835575 | over 3 years ago | Hi, thanks for working on RI parks. I had to fix a few things that were wrong on your edit of Buck Hill. First, I removed the tagging that you added on the relation member -- the tagging only needs to go on the parent relation. Also, there was a dangling extra segment on the polygon, which I removed and should have come up in the validator as an error. Are you local to Rhode Island? If so, come chat with other RI mappers on the OSM US Slack, at https://osmus.slack.com/, channel #local-rhode-island |
114824402 | over 3 years ago | Please stop adding names to river areas, and please stop converting river areas to waterway=riverbank. |
109705117 | over 3 years ago | It would be helpful to be a bit more specific in your changeset comment so we can understand what it is that you've fixed :) |
114715077 | over 3 years ago | Do not delete features with the promise of future replacement. If you're going to replace objects, do it in a single changeset so that the data is never missing. This changeset needs to be reverted. |
114743974 | over 3 years ago | Hi MusLak, Several users have commented on your changesets, expressed concerns about some of your edits, or asked questions, and so far you haven't responded. In addition, I sent you a direct message through osm.org that wasn't responded to. It is required that you communicate with other mappers, as this is a collaborative project that we all work together on. Please respond to these messages so that we can all work together :) |
114701316 | over 3 years ago | Hello, this changeset reverted a river area to the tag waterway=riverbank, which is no longer used by the US mapping community. Kindly tag river areas natural=water + water=river |
114642720 | over 3 years ago | Please respond to changeset comments. |
114640110 | over 3 years ago | I'm not sure, that got added before. I made a comment on the changeset where that got added. |
94442022 | over 3 years ago | Hi, where did the name Zzyzx Road come from? TIGER data has it as Arrowhead Trail so I'm wondering where the name change came from. |

114640163 | over 3 years ago | Please stop. The OpenStreetMap community will not permit this vandalism. Go to OpenGeoFiction if you want to create a fake map. |
114640051 | over 3 years ago | Please stop vandalizing the map. Your recent changesets have been reverted. |
114568419 | over 3 years ago | Please stop this vandalism immediately. The Data Working Group has been notified. |
114602310 | over 3 years ago | Also, I noticed that you put a name tag on river areas. River areas should have a blank name tag. Please see my presentation on river tagging for more details:
Thanks, and happy mapping! |
114602310 | over 3 years ago | Hi MusLak, please don't change river areas to waterway=riverbank. That tag has been deprecated and is not in use in the US any more. Instead, please use the water->river preset in JOSM. |
114594820 | over 3 years ago | Hi, there appear to be quality issues with these buildings that you've added. Was this import discussed anywhere? Please pause on adding additional building footprints pending further community discussions. |
114471978 | over 3 years ago | I also noticed that you put a name on the river area. River areas should not have names, names only go on the waterway=river line. Here's a YouTube video from a past OSM US Mappy Hour where I discuss best practices in river tagging:
Happy mapping! |
114471978 | over 3 years ago | Hi! The preferred tagging for river areas in the US is natural=water + water=river. You can find it under Presets->water->river. waterway=riverbank was deprecated back in 2011 and really shouldn't be used anymore: |
114387425 | over 3 years ago | Please stop these imports immediately so that the community can discuss them! There are numerous quality issues here that need to be addresed! |
114334401 | over 3 years ago | Hi JetCat, can you explain why you deleted Horse Lake and then just left behind a partial trace of the lakeshore? You've caused the lake to disappear from the map! |
