73011657 | almost 6 years ago | Hi, Yeah, I might be wrong to do that. The thing is, half of the roads had been already marked with "access=destination". It should be one way or another: mixing the two produces weird routing results. I am okay if you mark closed roads as private. |
71573038 | about 6 years ago | Hi Daniel, You have closed in this changeset a link for South Conduit Avenue. This one: osm.org/way/46891815 It was reported on our (I work at Juno Lab) map validation, since many drivers use this link to make a u-turn: yesterday it was ten drivers. On the Esri imagery (which is the most recent one that I use for mapping) you can see a regular car using the link. I believe that even if a restriction does exist, it isn't guarded that well to stop drivers from using the link. I've removed the tags, and I'd like once again to remind you of a data source to cross-check your highway edits: osm.org/user/Zverik/diary/47986 Thanks for looking after the map,

71379027 | about 6 years ago | Hi, you have removed a road and a golf course south of Lattingtown. Did you intend to do that? |
71450777 | about 6 years ago | Hi, You have added few turn restrictions that don't seem to correspond to signs on the ground. Are these restrictions active for every car type, and not just trucks? If it's the latter, could you please use tag "restriction:hgv=*" instead of "restriction=*" in these? Ilya |
70676813 | about 6 years ago | Hi, you have added barrier=kerb to highway=crossing nodes, and with that you seem to have introduced quite a few routing issues. Like, a barrier on a pedestrian crossing is the same as a barrier on a road, and thus you've marked some non-existent barriers on Manhattan streets. Was that a well-thought decision? |
69355405 | over 6 years ago | Hi, and thanks for mapping! I've found one minor issue in this changeset: left turns from Atlantic Ave to Woodhaven Blvd are not really restricted. I recommend using the Juno GPS Traces layer to confirm the restrictions: osm.org/user/Zverik/diary/47986 Ilya |
69212251 | over 6 years ago | Hi Cef, In this changeset you have moved some road nodes away from lines for no reason, e.g. like this: http://not.textual.ru/zverik/2/5/wellaway.png I have fixed some of the errors I found, but please be more careful next time. Ilya |

67144091 | over 6 years ago | Hi Gorbs, thanks for mapping! There was a slight error in your edits: you removed toll_gantry from the Delaware River Bridge and added few toll booths: osm.org/node/6030845938 That was most likely because you've been using Bing imagery as the reference. It is quite oudated — if you look at Mapbox Satellite or Esri World, you'll notice the booths have been demolished (4 years ago). I've restored the node — please be more careful with your sources :) Ilya |
66342727 | over 6 years ago | Hi, thank you for editing the map, especially with a mobile editor — I know from experience that is quite a tedious task. Unfortunately, you have broken some streets: for example, you've unglued an intersection of Hudson St. and Bank St. I am currently fixing these issues, and I ask you to be more careful next time, to not break the road network. Good luck,
|
65820491 | over 6 years ago | Hi Gizelle, I guess you have a source to check such things — after all, you work at a ride sharing company and have all the GPS traces :) On my side, I'll ask our managers if they would allow publishing our traces in form of tiles, so that everyone could reference these for OSM. We have millions of rides a month, every road is covered multiple times, so that should be a pretty reliable source for your edits. Ilya |
65820491 | over 6 years ago | Hi, thanks for monitoring oneway street signs. In this case though, you were relying on outdated information: the city flipped these directions in August: https://newyork.cbslocal.com/2018/08/23/west-60th-street-traffic-changes-manhattan-nyc-dot/ I work in Juno and we had around 50 rides just yesterday driving in directions opposite to yours. I have reverted your changeset, so you don't have to. Thanks for mapping! |
59293337 | over 6 years ago | В «Пулково» несколько ресторанов на разных этажах, как я понимаю: в таких случаях я из трёх-четырёх оставлял два. Но, в целом, не важно. Спасибо, что поправил! |
65323655 | over 6 years ago | 24:00 is an absolutely valid value for opening_hours tag. Otherwise we'd either have time intervals like 00:00-00:00, or we'd lose a minute with 00:00-23:59. The specification, which has more priority that a textual summary, also allows for 24:00. |
64426168 | almost 7 years ago | Hi Roadsguy, Could you please explain, what is the reason for merging roads split at toll booths? I thought there is a rule of thumb, that when road lanes are physically divided, they are drawn by separate ways?.. Ilya |
64180092 | almost 7 years ago | Hi, Thanks for improving the road geometry all around NYC. I've noticed you use Google Imagery for that. Are you sure it is allowed for OSM? |
63360882 | almost 7 years ago | Hi, why did you remove (again) toll booth on the Tobin bridge? |
60788948 | almost 7 years ago | Either way is correct in case of very few tags: "website", "phone", "email" and "fax". But as for social networks, people expect to find them with "contact:" prefixes. And either way, having spaces and uppercase letters in tags is wrong, so it's "google_plus", not "Google Plus" or "Instagram". |
60788948 | almost 7 years ago | I assume user_5359 asks to use "contact:facebook", "contact:instagram" and "contact:google_plus" tags instead of simple "facebook", "instagram" and "google plus". |
53247292 | almost 7 years ago | Thank you for finding and fixing the issue! |
